Re: The Super Official BiM Upcoming Movie Updates and Discussion Thread

Since this entire site is centered around stop motion, am I the only one excited about the new Aardman Studios movie coming out March 30th? It's a claymation about pirates and scientists from the creators of Wallace and Gromit, what more could you possibly want?! mini/delirium

I have been hyperventilating myself I'm so excited about that. And my teacher got me and all my friends interested in the books, too (they are very funny, no joke!!)
Seriously, like everything Aardman makes is awesome.

Re: The Super Official BiM Upcoming Movie Updates and Discussion Thread

Well,i'm super excited for these movies:
Avengers,The dark knight rises,Prometheus,MiB 3,and the Hobbit.
If the world ends on Dec21st,i'll go happy.

Maybe I should watch that series. The only Batman stuff I've bothered to watch so far is the Adam West movie and series.

point: the mayans didn't have "leap years" they didn't have the 29 feb. so that already puts us in July 2013.

Pirates In an Adventure with Scientists doesn't come out until April 27th in the US. mini/sad

Oh yeh, the hobbit, that is one film I Will Not miss.

Overheard during a exam- Move your arm, I can't see!

I can't wait for the Hobbit! mini/delirium
I'm planning to go the opening night, but I'm still not sure if I'll dress up. mini/lol

And although the other superhero movies sound cool, I probably won't be allowed to watch them for one reason or the other. So I'm crossing my fingers that The Amazing Spider-man will be clean.  (Really, if there's no cursing and no immodest dress or sexual themes, I'd probably be able watch it. But knowing Hollywood these days... mini/madhead )

Other than that, there's not really anything I'm looking forward to. (This year at least.)

EDIT: I've got standards too, so it's not just my parent's fault that I can't watch stuff. I usually look up a movie first, and if it passes me, then bring it to them. Most stuff stops before ever getting to them, so please don't think that they're "Too strict." mini/wink

Knowing Hollywood these days, they wouldn't do anything that would alienate their *youngandornotpermittedtowatchfilmswithcursingandorsexualthemes* demographic. I'm 90ish percent sure that they will keep it at the low end of the PG-13 area.

Don't be fooled, my avatar is a facade of conformity.

Oi, tell me about it. It seems like everything has to be PG-13. We got a lucky break on a few films that just took it a little over the edge, but it seems like every live-action Disney movie to come out has gotta be PG-13 (John Carter, The Prince of Persia, Pirates of the Carribbean). Even that new Johnny Depp will probably get shot down with the derned rating.

But, anyways, if you've watched the trailer, that you could get the clue that it might be pushing between ratings a little bit. That's really disappointing.

Re: The Super Official BiM Upcoming Movie Updates and Discussion Thread

I've watched both trailers, and so far, it seems fine. (I could care less about it being "Dark" and violent.)
The LOTR movies are all PG-13, but I can watch them with no problem. It's not so much the rating, as why it's rated what it is. And while "Dark" isn't bad to a point, I couldn't watch any of the Nolan Batman films thanks to their being "Too dark." I'm not sure what the line is though, but being a "Spider-man" movie may help.
(I did get bonus points because when my mom happened to glace at my computer when I was looking into the movie, she saw the logo, and said "That's cool.")

And from everything that I've seen, TAS seems fine. That's a good sign, because Avengers has curse words in the trailers, (And Nick Fury in the movie mini/rolleyes ) so that's already out. But it just drives me up a wall how dispite LOTR doing so well WITHOUT stuff like curse words, lack of clothing, Ect, there's hardly a movie made that doesn't have those things.

Not to go all off-topic or anything. mini/tongue (Sorry Mods.)

Well I wouldn't say its off topic at all, considering the thread does have "Discussion Thread" in the title. mini/lol I'm really hoping that The Dark Knight Rises doesn't have as much cursing in it as the first two did. I watched the first two movies but that was several years ago and sense then my convictions on film content have changed dramatically. That is why I still haven't seen Inception. It's not to say that I don't want to see these films, because I really do. If it weren't for the language they probably would be great films in my eyes. Christopher Nolan makes amazing films and the Dark Knight looks like it is going to be fantastic. I can only hope they might have toned down the language some.

Prince of Persia is based of a M and T rated game, so all the Fan boy's would be get mad if it was rated G. (I think they are mad any way...)
