I'm thinking about running a contest soon.
I got a bunch of stuff planned. Rules and everything.
Prizes are real prizes, not subs on YouTube.Just... Well... I need to actually get the prizes.
Planning is easier than doing.

You have to recreate a scene of a movie or a part of a book in LEGO.
I'm thinking of making an easter contest,and it's gonna have suscribers collectable minifigures and the BRICKARMS MINIGUN,as well as some other brickarms items as prizes.
The contest will start somewhere in the middle of march and end on easter.

Does anyone know if there is going to be a 2012 BiM contest? They are normally announced by now, so I was wondering if there was going to be one this year. I was planning on entering, and they tend to result in some great films.
I'd like to get it organized and announced in late April or May when time allows. It's probably not going to run as along as the last couple of summer contests.

Not really if we'd use songs from indie bands on youtube or jamendo.com. If you'd make a lego video for a jamendo band there's a high possibility you could monetize it.
Though yeah I'd love to make a Lego "African Child" video (From "Get him to the Greek")

Yeah! My parents are friends with these weirdos who are part of a band that plays possibly the silliest music you ever heard, and I've always planned on asking them if I could make a music video of this in LEGO.

I was wondering if someone could host a THAC in the summer? Even though I like THAC in the winter (gives me an excuse for having lots of hot chocolate in one day), it is getting harder for me to participate as my schoolwork becomes more and more advanced as I near high school graduation. Having a THAC during summer break would be awesome IMO.
Yes, we have plenty of time in the summer break.

That would be good for me, and I think the summer would be good for everyone due to break. Though it would still have to be on a Saturday due to people having to work and all that. (Plus, every year there's a family party during the winter the exact day of THAC which throws me off.) The only downside would probably be a fast organization of it because it's already May, and possibly not as good prizes because there are two THAC's held rather than just the one.
