Re: Batman: The Timeless Knight update thread

Either way, he's written the script already, and Azreal is not in it. mini/tongue

Re: Batman: The Timeless Knight update thread

Wow, if you want Azrael that badly, I might have to put him in anyway! (I'll do anything for a sub. mini/tongue)
Maybe as a short cameo...if I can make a spot...somewhere.

The problem is, he would require decals for his head and body no matter what version I tried to make.
And since Brick Forge doesn't make dark blue vambraces, Lego doesn't make gold hand-daggers, and since there is no spiky red cape or red Batman cowl. I really can't make any of the Azreal/Az-Bat combos without heavy modding on the pieces or look.

The only Azrael that I could do without a lot of modding is the Michael Lane version.
But that's my least favorite, as the blue Az-bat suit is on top, and anything Jean wears is next.
For that I would need to buy a custom cape off Ebay, light gray or white vambraces and the trans-colored swords from Brick Forge, and get decals for who knows where. (But if you buy the parts then I'll gladly put him in for you!)

Anyway, let's try to steer the comments back on-topic. mini/wink

Re: Batman: The Timeless Knight update thread

Noooo! My precious thread had dropped to the 2nd page! This is an outrage!
I should appeal to Uncle Sam, as my freedom of speach is being squashed! mini/eh
(Just kidding, it was really because I hate posting right after myself, but I got over it.)

Anyway, I did buy a cape that will work, so an Az-Bat may not be out of the question anymore.
And the completed filming has passed the two-minute and thirty-second mark....yeah, it's going very slowly.
But here's the guy that should get y'all fired up.

Fire Fly
No one knows who Fire Fly is behind that mask, but his pyromaniac tendencies are very public.
Despite being imprisoned several times by the Romans, he has always managed to escape. He is responsible for innumerable arsons, and gleefully provided the spark that caused The Great Fire of Rome. Fire Fly is highly trained is various fighting techniques, and has proven more than a match for even the strongest roman solder. His main weapon though, is his staff, which can launch fireballs and can also act as a flame thrower.  It is said to be the “Staff of the gods”, but he himself has referred to it at least once (Though somewhat sarcastically) as “Vulcan’s walking stick.” How he acquired the staff, like many other things, is known only to himself…and his master.

(Thank Lechnology for the great looking fireball, as he is kindly doing that effect for me!)

EDIT: Photo changed.

I love the flame effect. mini/smile
Delightful.

(could do with a dramatic camera tilt, though)

Like this?

Re: Batman: The Timeless Knight update thread

For long time I visit in this thread. Pretty long script. In my upcoming film/project I have only 3 and ½ pages long script (A4) and I think the film will be some 7 minutes long, so if you have so many voice lines as I it would be really very long. But I hope it has very much action and BATMAN! mini/smile

Re: Batman: The Timeless Knight update thread

Thanks for the comments, and yes Lord Lajaka, this will have a lot of action, and a LOT of Batman.

Anyway, I am taking a quick break from The Timeless Knight to work on another film that's a little more....spiritual.
And if I can get that done it time, it'll be shown at the upcoming movie night at my church. mini/sunnies
So it'll be about a little while until I can get back to Timeless Knight, but I have finished a set that I can use for both films, and you can see that here.

Re: Batman: The Timeless Knight update thread

I finished the other film much sooner that I had thought, so I've come back to working on Timeless Knight.
I'm about to work on the "Villains in lair planning evil scheme" scene, so I'll be posting some of their pics.

The Joker & Harley Quinn
This twisted couple is a prime example of the depths of insanity that some can descend to.
Both have bleached their skin to a pale white, and they have donned clothing which reflects their complete madness. While Harley attempts to woo The Joker, he ignores the advances, yet oddly, he also allows her to follow him where ever he goes. He has convinced himself that he has a plan to rule the world, and although its craziness is apparent, it may just succeed. With him as king, and Harley as his queen, he plans to reduce the world to total chaos. The Joker has no rules, and his agents have been known to commit incredible atrocities at his command. His best assassin has a unique ability to strike fear in his victim’s hearts and no one has yet to oppose anything that The Joker commands, knowing that no mercy would be given him and only the most gruesome torture methods would be used in punishment. The Joker has already aligned himself with Messala, an ally which he plans to betray, but he has also found a more powerful associate. One who shares and delights in his schemes of total conquest…

I'm not too sure about those two designs, so if you have any thoughts on them, please don't hold them back!
(Also, do ya'll even bother to read the bios? Or do you just stare at the pics? )

Re: Batman: The Timeless Knight update thread

Joker and Harley Quinn look cool, and their bios sound pretty cool too (yeah, I read them mini/tongue ),  but the capes don't really look very good.

Re: Batman: The Timeless Knight update thread

Wow, they look quite cool. I like how you are doing your own take of the characters.

Would you rather no capes? Or simply changing something?
I myself was rather fond of them as they are.

I like the capes (and the hole figures)

Amazing pictures, but why this is in WIPs and Tests. Should be in Pre Productions or something???

Re: Batman: The Timeless Knight update thread

well I don't mind the way they look, for joker, i would be looking in to a torso from harry potter series, one like this:

would work quite well, then you could drop the hood and go for a dark green hair peace.

Re: Batman: The Timeless Knight update thread

Well, from the comments, I'm keeping Joker and Quinn as they are.
And Alfa/Cooked Cat, I don't care for that torso, and don't even own it. But thanks anyway. mini/wink

I've also been very lazy as of late, and can't really get motivated to work on this much, so there's not a lot to update you on except this guy's design: (That, and I need to buy some sticky-tac before filming the next scene.)

Ra's al Ghul
The dreaded leader of the League of Shadows has finally begun to set his master plan in motion.
He has acquired an army, formed alliances, and gathered his allies. And yet, he has never been seen except by his most trusted servants. It is rumored that Ra’s is hundreds of years old, and was once an Arabian physician. Rumors also tell that he has found the Fountain of Youth, and has survived through the ages thanks to its healing power. Skeptics claim that “Ra’s” is simply a secession of men, all claiming to be the same, yet each dying in time, although only Ra’s and his inner circle of servants know the truth. He has allied with the unpredictable Joker for reasons known only to himself, and has even let him make use of Fire Fly, the best assassin in his army. But even the Joker cannot guess at what Ra’s plans are for the future might be….

I started this off of his Batman Begins look, and then went off of the fact that his actor was the same as Qui-Gon Jinn's.
