Wow,the pictures are amazing!
What camera do you use?-CDP
We use the Canon Rebel T2i.
do you guys know when the finished film will be released? I can't wait to see this movie.
We do not know exactly when this film will be out (since many challenges are continually arising that impede its production), but we hope to have it out by around the end of this year.
Hey BuilderBrothers, are you going to do any behind the scenes videos? I'm very interested in seeing how you guys work.
We are planning on doing some behind the scenes videos and tutorials once the film is finished. However, so far we have only taken a few videos and some behind-the-scenes pics.
But I think in the progress number: 36%. That's same as some weeks or months ago.
Don't pay attention to that bar. We never get around to updating it, and we will probably remove it soon. As for the actual percentage of the film done, we couldn't say, since there is really no easy way to calculate this. However, we would have to guess that we are at least in the 40%'s right now.

Since our last update, we have done pretty much the same things as we were doing before the previous update - working on the trailer and getting ready for a talk which we will be giving at Bricks by the Bay. However, yesterday we did get together with our music composer and we went over the music for the trailer. Believe me, this music will NOT disappoint!
We normally would post a screenshot, but we don't want to give any more of the film away than we have to, and after all, the trailer will be out in about a month. Also, keep in mind that the first time the trailer will go live is at the convention, and we will be showing it there several times. If you want to be one of the first to see it, then we advise you attend "Public Day," which is March 18th from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The trailer will be posted on the Internet a day or two later.

Anteater wrote:That's great! What kind of lamps did you use for the night scene?
For the night scenes we actually just used regular lamps and filmed the shot with dimmed lighting. We then proceeded to darken and color-correct the scene in After Effects to give it the illusion of night.

We are hard at work on the trailer for this film, and are making headway. Here is a logo test we made for the trailer: Logo Test
Also, please note the all-original score that our composer made for us (though not for this particular shot).
Please critique it, as we need all the help we can get! Also, please remember to follow us on Facebook and Blogger, since we update those much more frequently than we do here on BiM.
How did you make that awsome logo?!
By the way just wondering what is the estimated release date? Looks very good .

Wow. Looking awesome! This will be great. Just found this a little while ago. The Squire and the Scroll is a great story to adapt also. I really like the message it gives.
Hope you guys finish this. I check up on this thread fairly often.
*Update*
First off, sorry this is 5 days late. We caught a bad case of the stomach flu and were too sick to post anything.

Since our last update, we have been working non-stop on the trailer and have completed all the animation. The music is also nearly finished. We don't want to post any more screenshots (due to the trailer coming out as our next update), but here is a behind-the-scenes picture from one of the shots we animated:
And yes, we did animate all 15 minifigures simultaneously. It took us 3 hours to animate 3 seconds at 15 frames per second (or should we say per hour
).
Nice behind the scenes picture. I love the "coat of arms" on the wall. Is that canteen or something. Or is it some sleepy rest room. Awesome. You make so much work and you made 3 seconds in 3 hours. So, I think you made perfect job for that time.
What's on your arm?
*Secret Update*
Well, since our last update was a few days late, we decided to give you another small update to make up for it.
First of all, our composer sent us another draft of his music, and hopefully he will have it completed by tomorrow! Also, in addition to giving the talk on Brickfilming, we will also be showing our castle and medieval village set. In other news, we set up a Twitter account, and will be posting regular updates on how Bricks By The Bay is going, so be sure to check it out!
WOW that castle and village were incredible how many baseplates did it take up it looks huge!! ![]()
So excited for Bricks by the Bay, see you two on Sunday I hope! ![]()
Wow, simply fantastic. The set looks fantastic, I can see you have put ALOT of work and thought into this!
Everyone needs to check out their twitter and/or facebook page. They are sharing lots of pictures! ![]()
I agree, you get some pretty cool views on the (utterly amazing) sets they have made. Speaking of which, are you ever gonna do maybe some cool tips on how you do set building so well?

are you two going to release the Trailer soon
