Topic: Batman: The Timeless Knight update thread

Alright, most of you have probably forgotten by now, but about two months ago I released the Teaser Trailer for Batman: The Timeless Knight. Well, it’s time for an update!

I have finished the script, and its 25 pages long. So I feel like doing this right now:http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p84/UberSocks/36-1.gif
I wanted it to be about ten-fifteen minutes long so I shorted the script to 16 pages.
At the moment I plan on doing the short version, and then releasing an “Extended Edition” that uses the full script.

Anyway, I’ll be putting up some pictures of the characters soon, but for now here’s a teaser image I whipped up:

Any comments and questions are welcome!

Thank you!

I'm sorry for the delay, but here's one of the villians:

Messalus, son of Titus the Third, Commander of the troops near Rome.

Messala (Thanks Kcirb) Messalus is a young and ambitious officer in the Roman Army, he joined the army only a few years ago seeking glory and power. And although he was rapidly promoted by his superiors, his dreams of honor were smashed when he was put in charge of the troops stationed in a small village near Rome. The close proximity of the capital keep most people from even entertaining thoughts of an uprising, the one thing that would have provided an opportunity to be noticed by the commanding generals of the army. As there is no natural threat or chance for large-scale fighting, Messalus has allied himself with some shady individuals that can guarantee his being in the middle of a crisis. Despite this, Messala is planning to double-cross his partners in order to not only save the Empire from their plans, but to gain even more glory and honor. Unfortunately his allies have similar plans of betrayal…

http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff416/PritchardStudios/Picture88.jpg
As you can see, his troops are less than enthusiastic about being under the new, inexperienced centurion. Under the old centurion they were neglecting their training and were leaving their duties undone. The strict discipline that Rome was known for was relaxed and they spent more time in the bath house than in the training field. But ever since Messala came he has made them drill and train almost non-stop, and although they don’t know it, he is secretly preparing them for the crisis about to be unleashed on the city…

I'll post more pictures soon!
I would like some feedback on this, so feel free to comment!

Oh wow mini/eek . I love the glowing eyes and the silhouetteish mask. The dark lighting makes it (for me) aesthetically pleasing. Looking forward to seeing this!

Thanks! I like how that came out too.

http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff416/PritchardStudios/Picture90.jpgKiller Croc, the King of the Crocs
No one quite knows where this vicious creature came from, but what is known is his insatiable appetite and cruel ways. Some say that he was sent from the gods to help protect the Haunted Swamp where he lives, although that may not be the case as the swamp itself has claimed many victims. And its hallucinating effect on even the bravest of men has caused many to believe that the Door to the Underworld lies within its expanse. No matter what the creature’s reason for abiding there is, he is unchallenged in his domain, and even Messala himself grows frightened at the mention of his name.

I have not decided on the final design of Croc yet, so here are other versions of him for comparison. Please tell me what you think of him, and what version you like best!
Personally, I think the grey hand/leg combo looks the best, but if you disagree then by all means tell me what you think.

Re: Batman: The Timeless Knight update thread

Where did you get that awesome hand piece for croc?! mini/eek By the way, that croc is my favorite. mini/wink
I am really looking forward to this.

Re: Batman: The Timeless Knight update thread

Woooowo! What a pics. I really love them. Logo is great and villians' army is awesome. How did you get so many soldiers and their shields or did you copied them for few minifigs? And that croco's hand. It's, what it is? It's great too. And the scenery looks awesome too in that pic. You really can suprise me... mini/smile

Re: Batman: The Timeless Knight update thread

Here's the hand piece, it's a Vambrace from Brickforge. I have to get a couple of those.

Re: Batman: The Timeless Knight update thread

I'm glad that ya'll like the Vambraces, because it’s one of my favorites, if not my favorite piece!
It will also be showing up in a number of other characters, so keep your eyes out for it.

@Lord Lajaka:
I own 24 roman shields, and enough Roman Minifigs for them all. mini/delirium
My only problem is that I don't have that many spears or swords, and that's why some are outfitted with other weapons than the rest. I got the shields, decals and helments from Brickforge, and the rest from Lego.com Pick-a-Brick. Even though it cost a bundle, I think it was well worth it. The final result was one nice army!

Anyway, thanks for the feedback on which Croc to use. (All one of you. mini/tongue)
But I need some more help on this guy:
http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff416/PritchardStudios/Picture96.jpg
The Hermit
Why the hermit would want to leave the nearby city of Rome and go live in the Haunted Swamp is known only to himself. Some have suggested that he did some great evil and is being cursed by the gods, others think he is insane, but still more think he is faking his madness to protect a secret (Possibly treasure!) Either way, he has ran as far away from the city as he could. He has built a house and was living somewhat peacefully until he wasn't seen for a while, and Killer Croc was living in the house. The general consensus is that Croc happened by and wanted the house to himself. Most agree that Croc ate the unfortunate hermit, but reports of his still living are circulated. Some evidence to the former is the legend of a brave man that went into the swamp and asked Croc what he did with the hermit, Croc is said to have answered "I ate him, but he was kinda chewy." The reliably of the legend is undetermined, as the next line states that: The man was then eaten by Croc, and Croc said "At least he had a little crunch to him." Although it is still unknown if Croc can even talk, or how the legend was started.

The Hermit is alive (though not very well) in the movie, but I'm not sure what he should look like.
Here are some other versions. But those just don't seem "Hermit-y" enough. Advice would be greatly appreciated! I would like him to look haggard and worn-out, and if you have any suggestions for the minifigure don't hesitate to post them!

Re: Batman: The Timeless Knight update thread

I would suggest this for the Hermit's torso and this for his legs (possibly with one leg replaced with a flesh leg).

Not literally dead, just no longer interested in Lego or animation.

Re: Batman: The Timeless Knight update thread

Alright, that combo would make this:

(Click it for the bigger picture.)

While I was at it, I took pics of a lot more concepts, check them out here.

Re: Batman: The Timeless Knight update thread

More interesting picture. One of the greatest project all time. mini/wink

Re: Batman: The Timeless Knight update thread

I think I will go with Minifig051's idea, it looks fairly close to what I was wanting and I couldn't find anything better.
Also, I'm going to want a while until the next update, but I think it'll get a few of you "Fired up"] about the movie once you see who it is. mini/wink

Re: Batman: The Timeless Knight update thread

i don't know if you've finished the script or not, but i think it would be cool to have Azrael in it. mini/smile

Yes, I've finished the script, and Azreal will not be in it. (Sadly, as he's one of my favorite Batmam guys.)
I didn't think of including him until you mentioned it, but I guess there's always next time.

He might be kinda hard to do though, because you would need a red hood (Which is only in one figure right now) as well as some sort of gold spikes (Like the Price of Persia dagger thing that goes in their hand, but in gold.) Or if I wanted to go Az-bat, I would need dark blue vambraces that Brick Forge doesn't currently make.
I could make Jean Paul Valley's second Azreal suit, but I would need white vambraces and a spiky red cape.
And that's not saying anything about the torso prints...

Although I think I've got plenty of Batman people in it already, and it's supposed to be in the past, so if I smash too many in there it wouldn't come out that great. mini/tongue

Re: Batman: The Timeless Knight update thread

Are you going to use that fright knights helmet for Batman? Just wondering...

Re: Batman: The Timeless Knight update thread

Yes, check out the trailer for the final Batman look.

Re: Batman: The Timeless Knight update thread

i remember reading that i must have totally forgot (im not very good at remembering things) but if you used him for a different film you could do the version (not Jean)

Re: Batman: The Timeless Knight update thread

He would still need the spiky cape, though. And steel vambraces. and trans-red & trans-blue swords.

Re: Batman: The Timeless Knight update thread

it could be done with a little customization
