As it states, '2.5.2' is needed to run ANY scripts. That's odd, because I've been able to run the LDraw-Blender import script just fine without Python. Maybe a glitch or something on my part...

You need Python to run blender. It's the code language it uses.
So the external scripts don't work with the latest Python version?
For the Ldraw import script, I use Blender 2.49, which is what I'm having problems with.
Okay, got it.
You need the version of Python specified by Blender's little code box thingy.
Download version 2.5.2 here.
EDIT: Fixed.

Has anyone tried the camera tracker in Blender 2.6 yet? I've been working with it lately and it seems to be having a bit of issue's with the camera solver.
I had some trouble with some depth of field settings but I have been successful with the camera tracker (If you mean tracking the camera to another object). Whats seems to be the problem? Perhaps I can render some assistance.
Ah... no... I don't think he wants the camera tracking to, say, an empty. Camera tracking is used to mimic the movement of a real, physical camera to make live-action/CGI integration easier.
On another note, I spent some time tonight familiarizing myself with Blender 2.6, and I've got to say that Cycles is pretty awesome stuff, though I really need to do more with it than making Minecraft blocks look nice.
IT'S OUT???? ![]()
It's out!?
IT'S OUT????
The latest trunk builds are available at Graphicall.org.
Referring to you, Wingman, it seems when I place a tracker, it doesn't track very well (sometimes it doesn't track at all). I suspect since that I'm/we're using LEGO bricks that the round edges pose some problems, but it should be anything too significant for it not to track at all.

Cycles makes pretty realistic LEGO bricks, or at least better than the Blender internal. I'd love it if you were to make a photo of LEGO bricks in Cycles.
Well I wanted to create a small logo, and here's what I have... (don't mind the words...)

It's... well. quite basic. There are a few issues, one being the flickering bricks. Does anyone know how to get rid of that? I used ambient occlusion, and I used the other option besides raytrace (because raytrace made it grainy..) I made this in Blender.

Did you render it as an image or a video?
Purrrty cool.
Blender 2.61 now seems to be out, not sure if
Also, blender now has it's own fracturing engine, which eliminates the need for costly plugins like Rayfire.
was indicating that it was released. Can't wait to play around with the official cycles rendering.
