I think you need a temporary ban.
He's had one before.

No, it's a sign that you need to upgrade the forum to compensate for the spambot circumventing captcha or whatever is being used to authenticate human account registration.
Surely it shows some level of popularity as spam bots wouldnt bother posting here if they thought no one would read it..

Nope. Old inactive SUPER forum I was running had to be deactivated after spambots kept registering. Site owner couldn't figure out how to update phpBB so this was the best temporary solution I had. Ever now and then when I reactivate it to check on stuff, spambots start registering again.
That's super.
Jargon, Hazzat and Squash, seem to be the only three who are actually active regularly and interact well with members. I'm not saying that the others are immature, but they seem tired of their job
Just to defend my job here, not that I really need to, if you could see the moderator report page you'd see my name pop up regularly and of course all the other moderators. A lot of our moderation is invisible in regards to deleting spam. Unless you saw it in the first place you're not going to notice it's gone.
Also there is no big need for moderation, the biggest problem we have is spam bots and I believe we are looking into ways to stop them registering, though I cannot say this for sure as I am not highly involved in the technical dealings of the site.
So just to summarise, 90% of moderation is invisible but believe me every moderator pulls their weight.
I know, and I apologize for those accusations. I was just wondering is all - thanks to everyone again for clearing everything up, I feel that things are improving more now that I know all this.
This is first time I have posted here and I haven't really read much in terms of the posts but I really think Onion is right about a few of his statements in his first post, from what it sounds like things are getting better. I just wanted to point out that this time last year when I was just starting out the community felt a lot more fresh than it does today, I'm one of the really big Community Forum people and I enjoyed herring what people had to say. I know why the staff here at BiM "hid" it, but somehow I feel that since the end of the EASTER the whole of the brickfilming community has been somewhat slowed down in terms of excitement and joy to brickfilm during the upcoming THAC/Holiday season. If anyone understands what I'm saying then I think you will know it to be true. This isn't a rant to get the community forum, I just want to point out that WE ARE missing something, and it's been hidden for quite some time now.
