Yeah, it wasn't a particularly well-written episode (I cringed when Luna questioned what fun was, it was out of place and a bit obvious in such a relatively naturalistic show. The only character who can get away with that question is Plankton) but I found Luna to be really likeable.
THE FUN HAS BEEN DOUBLED
I liked it. Best parts were with Fluttershy and Derpy, but of course that goes without saying. A little too much ditzy Pinkie Pie for my tastes. And no Rarity. 
Still leagues better than the cringe-worthy Wild West episode.

Every season of every television show I've ever watched has at least one episode like that. Let's hope this was the [only] one for season 2.
I think Rarity wasn't included because it would have been a bit easy to mix her voice up with Luna's, which would be a bit of a problem on Luna's first outing. They've both got the strange American-British hybrid accent, which is to be expected as they are both voiced by Tabitha St. Germain. All the other doubled-up voice actors' characters (Appledash, Flutterpie) at least sound different enough from each other.
Also, EqD has informed me that there's finally a brony meet-up I'll be able to go to! Anyone gong to the London MCM Expo this weekend (which is precisely zero of you), see you there! I'm hoping to go as Rainbow Dash.
Actually, they were going to put her in the episode, but they didn't manage to put her in the episode time. Therte's something about it in EQd.

I am saddened by the prospect of the pony-less week ahead. On the bright side, I did enjoy the Luna episode and was rather happy with her characterization. Unfortunately, I can't help but suspect that, given the way the plot was resolved, she won't be coming back for anything more than the occasional silent appearance beside Celestia (if that). Hope I'm not correct.
Huh, I actually voted for your design while I was browsing through the entries. (I was planning to vote for them all like I did last time, then after about ten minutes of this I realised I had 945 left to go.) I think I gave it a 4 or a 5. There are an awful lot of bad designs in there burying the good stuff, now I know how the Review Panel feels.

I don't see why Rarity gets such a bad rap in general, I think she's hilarious. She deserves more love than certain other ponies.

Since there isn't a canon explanation, I just think of them as mother and daughter. Derpy and Dinky probably aren't even related, but it's just the fanfics and comics I've read with them being related are soooo cuuuuuteee <3
