Maggosh was running that until he disappeared. It should be in the Contests & Festivals forum, buried somewhere (that thread used to also host the community projects).
The main runners of this project should be more mature brickfilmers, such as Hazzat or someone who's been on the forums a bit longer time and knows how it goes. And brickfilmers that has been not so long on the forums and don't have much experience should be side animators and stuff like that.
What is 'Boom De Yada'?

It is that commercial that says: 'Boom De Yata' from discovery channel a while ago. Look it up on youtube.

It shouldn't be who is on the forums long, it should be who has skill in animating.

he was more leaning to more Brickfilming experience and maturity
No offense but I think that the guy in charge should be elected
while you have some skill in animation
I don't think you really qualify to host a community project
sadly yes part of it is because of your age
the overall project will look nicer if we have someone a bit more mature
hosting this
again no offense I just don't think you are ready to host a project yet

I'll be the person to organize it for Boom De Yata
Wow, calm down.

None of both. Being good at animation doesn't automatically make you good at organizing things, directing people or that kind of stuff. And someone who have been for long in the forums isn't automatically better than others.
I would like to accompany Hazzat. I'm mature and have a good knowledge of how the site and Brickfilming works. If you'd like me to I can provide some evidence of my work?

I offered to organize it, if someone wants to say so. I don't know what you are talking about being good at animating and being good at organizing stuff. And the forums: that is what I was saying, it shouldn't be who had been in the forums long, it should be who had skill in animating.

It's a commercial that Discovery channel did a few years ago.
Here is the link to boom-de-yada.
Boom De Yada it is. Expect a thread about it from me soon. In the meantime, think about which line of the song you want and get ready to call dibs.
We'll need at least 18 people, by the way, or else some people will have to double up.
Well, I'm definitely in. So I think we have all agreed on Hazzat being in the lead.
witch lyrics from the original song or

I'd love to be a part of this.

I think what he's trying to say is that someone who has animation skill wouldn't always be good at organizing projects. The two have nothing to do with eachother. I think I know what your logic is. Contests and projects get more entries when a respected member runs them. Yes, people who are good at animation are usually respected in the community, but that's really a minor factor when you need someone to organize a contest. What matters the most is maturity, which would make sure the person would take responsibility and handle things right. Most older members have experience, which is why they are mature and are good animators. That's why some people mistakenly think that those factors are what makes a member respected, when they are just results of the real reason.
