Re: BRAWL 2011 Results!
I enjoyed Jstudios's film but I don't think he deserves top 5. I do agree with the whole rating system and judge thing though.

I agree, but I don't think I deserved to move down 8 places just because the judging changed a little. I mean, the top three(I know they're the prize winners, but still) didn't change at all, niether did other people . Yet I moved down by a whole eight places. Overall, I think this contest was really unorganized.
16th Place! I am one happy person.

Actually, you got 15th. You have to look at the right side.

Even better!
And Jstudios, I think your film deserves higher than mine. Yours was amazing!
where do I see the results?
And what do the highlighted members mean?
I'd like to know the same thing.
Why is my name yellow? 15th place! I'll try harder next time. "Your going down, NICK" Congrats to the winners!
You actually got 14th place.

Maybe highlighted names mean those videos are the judges favorites!
So TheCoolDude1023 got favorited?

I know what the highlighted numbers mean!
What do they mean?
WHAT DO THEY MEAN?!
EDIT: Aren't they gonna make a scoreboard like this?
Oh, and look who came in first -_-

I feel for you jstudios. Honestly, I'm pretty mad at how the judging turned out. I would've been fine getting 11th from the start, but when you tell me I tied for eighth (something that I was extremely ecstatic about), and then tell me I got 11th, that's just mean. And really, bumping jstudios eight places? I got bumped three places, and I'm steamed about that. You just can't bump some one eight places, especially when a contest only has 41 entries.
Plus, where was the theme rating? I mean, someone could have gone and just made a film with no such baring to the theme and it wouldn't matter, because it wouldn't count over technicalities.
I agree. I felt like some of the top entries (namely Nick Durron's and NXTManiac's) didn't deserve such high scores, as they were really well done technically, but hardly integrated the theme at all, whereas some of the lower scoring entries (namely EddieHasscle's) weren't quite as well done technically, no offense, but I felt really stuck to the theme.
And isn't the theme what the whole contest is about? I mean, anyone can make a contest where you have to make a brickfilm in a week, but what distinguishes each BRAWL is the unique theme every year.
Anyway, my rant is over.
I'd like to see what every film's over all ratings were in all four categories.
It seems no one is really totally happy with the results, but at least we still got some great and memorable films out of this.
I'm just kind of sad that I helped. No one is happy with the results, and everyone's going to think that I've been a horrible judge now.
I don't think it was entirely the judges fault, although it was partially to blame. Mainly it was the ballet that I aforementioned that was the problem.
Thanks Goliathan for running the contest. I got 12th so that's not bad. Thanks for the contest and thanks for all the feedback you guys gave on my film.
@JK: In my opinion you do deserve 5th.
@Absurd: No offense taken.

13th place, not so bad
Nevertheless, I don't know why Nick Durron, TheFourMonkeys and NXT are so highly placed in the list. The next time, you should give a chance to the younger generation of brickfilmers (Eddie, Onion ect.)...
→THAC 6: 3rd place goes to Nick Durron.
→Brawl 2009: Second place goes to Nick Durron.
→2009 Bricks in Motion Awards: ''Best Visual Effects'' goes to Nick Durron
→BiM 2010-Avant-Garde: First place goes to Nick Durron
→THAC 8: 3rd place goes to Nick Durron.
And now, the first place of BRAWL 2011 goes to.... NICK DURRON!
I'm not telling that Nick is not a good brickfilmer, but it's a bit repetitive for me.
Congratulations to everyone who entered the contest
Big Monkey actually did watch all of the entries and posted his own personal opinion of his top 10 pics on the BFG.
Everyone will have their own different opinions, and some will be bias in judging certain videos. That is why it is most important to have judges who can be completely unbiased otherwise it's unfair to everyone involved.
There were a few left out of the top 10 in our opinion, but we certainly do appreciate the honor of making 9th place.
We were very happy/satisfied with our entry and definitely wanted to show our support to bricksinmotion by entering the contest. Congrats to all of the winners and great entries from everyone. @(^_^)@
