Re: General Contest Discussion
I would absolutely love another "Quest For" contest like Onion mentioned. Also, BRAWLs are awesome.

I am not exactly new here but I haven't really been present for any contests besides thac 8 and ToY, sooo...
What exactly is BRAWL, and Quest For? And what sort of themes do these, along with the month-long contest, have?
Brawl Means Brickfilm Rapidly All Week Long
The last one produced some nice films, like Not Forgotten, and the slightly controversial puppy-killing Mr. Depressing.
I have never heard of quest for, I joined in 2009.
I don't know much about Quest For... but I do know that it produced films like The Quest for the Torc Alliah and sillypenta's Teh Quest for Pants!.
i'm excited about Septemberfest (if they have it)
i hope onion takes over the contest
After some talks with Smeagol it looks like the staff would preferably not have a Septemberfest this year. Although I am currently hosting an un-offical contest myself, but I'm giving nothing away (yet).
All I will say is that... the acclaimed online company, BrickForge, have agreed to sponsor!!

Custom parts as prizes AGAIN?! I hope there are some other prizes besides that.
1. I'd like to see you find a sponsor
2. If you don't like it don't enter
3. Be grateful I have prizes
4. BrickForge are arguably the most popular non-official LEGO store out there, and it's for a good reason, y'know.
BrickForge is pretty awesome, minifig. Have you even seen the parts they have?

Okay, okay. It's just that I don't like custom parts, that's all.
BrickForge are particularly acclaimed due to their close similarities to LEGO, and their build quality.

Well, it's just that no matter how close it is, I think it doesn't fit in with offical Lego. Any custom part is in a shape Lego doesn't make, so it seem out of place to me.
This is just my opinion. I understand that not everyone feels the same way.
Can we stop talking about this before it turns into an argument?
Bump. Are we going to have an E.A.S.T.E.R. contest again? It was a lot of fun last year, and it would be awesome if someone hosted one this year...
I'll be hosting Re-Run again this year in July. I'm going to look into some sponsors and see if I can get them to help.
I'm thinking about running a contest soon.
I got a bunch of stuff planned. Rules and everything.
Prizes are real prizes, not subs on YouTube.
Just... Well... I need to actually get the prizes.
Planning is easier than doing.
