Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]
I wish they'd make a film, and a reasonably long film, with little, or preferably no dialogue, and still convey some sort of good story and some memorable characters and emotions.
That would be so great.
Then I think you're gonna like my film. It hasn't got any dialog, but has quite a bit of adventure and action. I don't really like films with loads of dialog either, it might as well be live action.
My film for this was originally going to be about my great granddad's WW2 diary. He used 4 notebooks (I have all the originals, it's a miracle they're still in one piece!), and he served as a gunner in Africa somewhere. I really like the idea of this as a film, but I don't think lego and war really go together very well.
I'm a little worried that my entry may be a tad boring though. I think it's going to be close to 15 minutes, but there isn't really anything I can cut out. The action mainly comes towards the end too, but I still think it's going to be good. The animation and sets are my best ever. Imagine trying to make a 13 minute long animation, all shot at 20fps. I'm guessing that there's nearly 20,000 frames in mine, and I've done about 65% of that in the last few weeks. I'm taking a big break once this is over.
