Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]

Looks brill NXT. I'm really looking forward to your entry.
Mine IS HUGE! It's going to be a long film for me, but I don't think it's boring. It's got quite a lot of adventure in it, anyone who likes PotC will like my film I think, I got my main inspiration of that film.

Sounds awesome Filmfire96.  Hope you finish it in time. mini/smile

Hey, NXT, what is your film about historically?
Just wondering. mini/smile

Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]

I like the warm feeling your snapshot gives off, BB.

And the character and set design is absolutely brilliant! Lookin' good indeed, good luck!

It's not based on historical facts, it simply has a medieval setting. However, I tried to make the atmosphere and sets very medieval to compensate for the lack of facts and stuff.

Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]

Yeah, mine's based in the great sea pirate era, but has some historical references in it. The rest is all total fiction, but I thought having that would make it more interesting to watch.
12 minutes so far.....and still counting!
BTW, BB that looks fantastic! I really like the look of these entries.

How about we be supportive of other entrants. I for one am glad that the BuilderBrothers made an entry.

Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]

I just hope it's not too much talking.
The BB have a habit of having a bit much dialogue in their stuff and it becomes a tad dull (no offense, not trying to be rude). Though I do still enjoy their style.
I wish they'd make a film, and a reasonably long film, with little, or preferably no dialogue, and still convey some sort of good story and some memorable characters and emotions.
That would be so great.

I could actually try that but I don't know how satisfied you would be with it because your a better animator then me mini/tongue
I sometimes lack conference which is something I need to work on mini/tongue

Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]

You should just practice and try to get better. Post your stuff in the test section and get some feedback. mini/smile

Animation requires much skill, practice, time, love, and a large chunk of your sanity. If you're not willing to give up all of that, there is no point. Or else the little effort and such you spent will be wasted.

I try to remember this guideline, it helps me make stuff cooler.

Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]

I sent in my entry.

Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]

So far my film consists of over 1,377 frames. Wow, anyways, I expect to complete filming Friday, and devote Saturday to sound/voices, I plan to stay up till 4am Sunday working on it.

Re: BiM 2011: TOY [CLOSED]

Glad to see some of the great animators entering this.

I should've entered, I had lot's of time, but I was lazy.  It's too bad since this years theme was rather easy to interpret into a brickfilm compared to last years.  Congrats to all the entrants!
