That was incredibly impressive. It reminded me why I used to love brickfilming so much. I give you the award of awesome, and I truly hope you succeed at your film college thing because of this. Incredible work on this, it was well worth the wait and hype.

This is truly an amazing film. The set design was absolutley amazing, and the animation was superb. Though, I do a gree with the others about the story. I felt that it quickly went up, and they slowly back down. I thought it would be better if Owen got chased by the spiders, and then found the ruby. That's just my opinion. Nonetheless, an an amazing film. You kept us waiting, and definentally did NOT dissapoint.

-]  I must say, the film held me throughout, and it is certainly something cool to look at and to listen to. The image quality is superb, the voice of Allen fit the minifig well, though the other characters' voices did not for me, the dialog and audio quality is excellent, the blend of light and shadow is done well, the sets are well built, and, what everyone these days is looking for, the animation is cream-of-the-crop material. One point I must especially praise you for is the desert scenes — animating with such a fickle material as sand is not something that I feel many people (at least not I) would be able to accomplish the way you did. Bravo.

   However, there were some points that did not settle with me. The plot seemed very random (and not the random you get in a Warner Bros. cartoon neither) to the point where "Pyramid Pandemonium" would have been a more apt name. I liked it, but the randomness bothered me. However, my biggest complaint is the character "Doc" [the professor]. He seems like a lousy archæologist, either blatantly ignoring everything he knows about Egyptian burial chambers and their booby traps, making vexingly confusing statements, or being more focused on his Chat Noir than on his graverobbing recovery of the Pharaoh's Jewel.

   All in all, it's a wonderful film, and I recommend it to anyone who wants a good laugh:

I can't say it lives up to the huge pre-release anticipation many of our younger members, and even some of our older viewers, expressed, but I can say it deserves a spot in the staff favorites section. I would watch this again. Well done! 4.5/5.

P.S. I'm dying to know, what was the jazzy song in the opening and at the end?

Congratulations on the success Mobiledeli! The work you put into this certainly paid off. As others said, it didn't have so much of a story but that didn't stop it from being great. The humour also helped.
Personally I just wish there was a little more to it. Like more with the skeletons or more traps. But you obviously worked long and hard on this and you have this brilliant film as reward for your work. So I wouldn't say it's amazing, but its great, above the average 'great' brickfilm. 4.5/5 - I'll give a 5!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it was written by one Colin A. Clark specially for this film.

I really, really like this. I agree that the pacing was just a tad fast, but the length of the film made up for it. More chardonnay, methinks.

Great film!
Beautiful sets, perfect image quality and very good animation. We really enjoyed it.
The only flaw would be we think it was a bit too short and maybe it also ends a bit abruptly.

Just some of the best LEGO animation ever. I solute you for having enough patience to animate a 24 FPS movie that's 8 minutes long. I didn't see a single bump. Set design was way amazing.The Doc was a fun character, it was so funny, but sad at the same time how he was lost. Somehow, I have a feeling he's still alive down there. The only things I didn't really like was the music in some parts. And I hated the fact that he cursed. Seriously, dude? This is a LEGO movie! Come on! You ruined what could have been one of the greatest brickfilms ever.

Yes, it does end a bit too soon, but at least that means that it's so good that you just want to keep watching it. A lot of fantastic shots in this (the shot that Littlebrick pointed out was awesome is indeed awesome), and the animation is pretty damn good. I think my eye was playing tricks on me when it seemed like the lighting wasn't constant during the spider chase scene - so I'm not exactly sure about that. On another note, I have to say the spider chase kept me on the edge of my seat. I'm not sure where the spiders were headed in the end, but hey, needn't know everything.
I like that you didn't exactly show us the fate of the doctor. I still love his character and his blatant disregard for proper work methods, and it would've been a terrible loss. It's way too soon to talk of it, but I'd love to see him return sometime. There's definitely some room for a sequel there.
It's a shame that the build-up to this film was so huge, because it would've blown people out of the water if we didn't already know what to expect. That happens when a hype gets out of hand, of course. Still, a fantastic film for sure.
