Re: BiM Resources - Final Beta phase
Sounds epic. Has anyone discovered any buugs/glitches? It seems fine for me, but someone else may find it different.

I've no idea. I'll be taking it down for a bit over the next few days (though only for, like, an hour) to apply some quick fixes to a couple of pages. I'm probably taking it down next Wednesday or Thursday to prepare it for the grand opening.
When you take it down, will our articles be taken down with it, or will they somehow secretly stay in a secret database?
As I've said before, nothing will be deleted when I take the Resources offline for the public.
As some of you might have noticed, I haven't done anything with the pending articles and links. This is because I want to expand the system so that the author gets a notification PM when his article is accepted or rejected (or deleted). In this PM, if the article isn't accepted Resources Managers can explain why and what needs to be improved upon before the article is good enough to get in the Resources.
There are a few other things I want to implement - stuff like embedded YouTube videos and such things. But this is all stuff for after the Open Beta is over.
Wow... I can see why it's taken so long to get this thing up and running. By the sound of things, you're all doing a great job and working extremely hard.
Well, I was able to look at the encoding, and I must say that you (BertL) and any others who helped out with the Resources section did a mighty spiffy job on it. I can't wait to see what's in store for the Grand-Opening!
Might I ask how you were able to see the website's coding? It would be a pretty serious security leak if everyone could see the coding.
The resources suck tbh

Right click and 'view page source'? That shows the html- but I'm not sure if this is what you're talking about...
I think you might've made BertL piss himself ![]()
I was going to write an article.
How much longer do I have to do it?
You can write your article using the forum's Write message thing; the Resources work basically the same (except without smileys). You can PM yourself the article, and then copy/paste that to the Resources when they're back open. Sorry for the inconvenience. ![]()
I'm expecting the Resources to be open next week for the final Beta stage.
This gave me some suspicion:
ZP, just copy and paste it into a word processor and save it.
Why not save the message as draft.
Ooh! Ooh! I know! Wait a thousand years for the resources to re-open, then write your article.

How about next week, hm?
Ooh, snap. It's opening next week? Fantastic, that was quick.

Actually Bert, I think I might be able to see the stuff when I log in on my Mac. I log in, and if I don't click the "Forum" button when it says it's redirecting, it comes up with a bunch of stuff in all words taking up the entire page, and having all these things that say [title]........[/title], and stuff like that. I can PM you a picture of it if you want me to. Of course, when I refresh the page it goes away, but it happens every time I log in on my Mac.
