BertL, I'm not sure if this is supposed to be set the way it is, but the top two posts are bold in the sandbox. I'm not sure if anyone put them like that:

Hey BertL, would the youtube embedding feature work with vimeo too? Cause youtube only allows videos that are 15 minutes long, and often times, video tutorials are longer than 15 minutes, so they're put on vimeo because it doesn't have a time limit.

It's supposed to be like that. The bolded articles are "Recommended articles" which will seperate the awesome goodiness from the okayish goodiness.

Sure. If Smeagol is ok with YouTube tags, I can also create some tags for Vimeo.

Feel free to test this out; if you encounter any weird errors (like the video being not found or getting some weird HTML instead of the embedded thing), let me know. Include the link to the video so we can see what's up.

We actually don't want that because it gets really spammy quickly and has a lot of potential for abuse and things. Would rather keep embedded videos limited to the resources and the film directory.
I'm open to being persuaded otherwise, of course, but we talked about it originally and decided against it, and I agree with the concern. A joke picture being posted in a thread is annoying; an embedded joke video is worse.

I have to say I agree..
Plus it would get really annoying for those with slow connection, imagine them having to wait ages for a page to load 5+ videos that they don't even want to watch...
Although I do agree that it would be the source of much giggles, it would also be irritating.

I just felt a burst of unnecessary pride at being British. Whoop, yay and all that lark.
I've noticed this, it it sort of bothers me. If there is a solution already made, please tell me, otherwise, help?
If we have a small picture/screen shot, we might not want it automatically placed on a new line. Is there some way up just have it within the text like the image shown below? [see image below] Because if we say "press the ___ button", the reader might not know what we are talking about, and sometimes, we need to add a small image to the side of the text like shown below:
We're able to do this in the forums just by using the SPACE bar to move along:
'Text __________________________________________________ [img]img url[/img]'
The _____ is the invisible spaces. If you know what I mean, is there some way to edit it, because it get's a bit annoying in my opinion because a small image is put on a completely different row, in the center. perhaps a [center][/center] bbcode that aligns it? If you don't understand, just ask and I'll provide further information.

if you look at procedure number 6, I say press a button, and the image of the button is far in the center of the next row.

I agree that'd be nice, it was brought up at some point in the dev process. It's complicated though from a formatting standpoint and I'm not sure what the best way to handle it would be. One of the issues is that our page layouts are not consistent right now because the content stretches to fit your screen; there are plans afoot to change that eventually but it complicates formatting things for the time being.
I agree, I was puzzled when reading the section, I couldn't find the button until I came to my senses and looked in the middle.
Anyway...
When do you think the Beta Phase will be over?
Really love that place. Why don't the panel choose some responsible and reliable members from BIM and assign them to do the resources stuff...like accept and judge articles and promote the section some more.
