Re: What was the last movie you watched?
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
I've always loved this film. I find it weird that some people don't like this one as much as the others, its one of my favourite films.

Batman Forever
Holy rusted metal, Batman!
. . .
Time Bandits
Oh, Terry Gilliam, what am I to do with you? I can't get over how awesome the sets/costumes/props are. They're so organic. Way better technically than the other movies I've seen from that era.
I love that movie, especially the ending.
Sin Nombre
A Spanish-language film (if you couldn't tell by the title) about a gang member torn between gang life and the outside world - knowing that to strive for that outside world means certain death. Running parallel to that is the story of a Honduran family trying to get to relatives in the most wonderful state of all - NJ, lol.
The film looked very lush and the cinematography was quite excellent. I also liked the depictions of the gang with their homemade weapons and rather nasty practice of beating liars for a set period of time. Overall, I quite liked the film, though the girl protagonist could've perhaps been fleshed out a bit more.
Salt (first hour)
Lame
Snatch
Awesome.
Animal Kingdom
A well-paced, excellently-constructed crime drama. Jacki Weaver's matriarch character was particularly memorable.
The Prestige
I've seen this a few times, but it's still fun to re-watch it and pick out all of the subtle hints that lead to the film's big twists. While I think this is far from Nolan's best work, it's still a clever film with excellent cinematography.
Shutter Island
Finally got to watch it, though there are certain similarities between that and inception

I like it.....I just prefer the other two.....
Bedtime Stories with Adam Sandler. It was good!
Nostradamus (documentary)
Very interesting.
Batman (1989)
I remember seeing this as a kid. Awesome. Best Batman movie. I love how he kills people here.

I don't.
That makes me RAAAAAAAAAAAGE.
I dont recall him killing people. Sure, he bombed that place with the Batmobile and threw that guy down the bell tower...but apart from that he didn't kill at all. (Actually, the first time he killed on-screen was in the 1960 Movie when they accidentally kill those henchmen who the Penguin tries to sneak into the Batcave with the dehydrator - but the movies awesome so we'll ignore that...)
Anyway, I decided for once to see a good movie, rather than deliberately torture myself with ones which I know are crap yet still watch:
The Kings Speech
Possibly the most shocking thing about this is not that the cast is incredible, not that each micro-feature works in perfect harmony together and at the best it can possibly be, not that the screenplay is the best since 'The Social Network', and not that its slated to win a landslide at both the Golden Globes and Oscars....but because this is funded and distributed by English companies. To think that something this incredible came out of my home country makes me (for once) proud to be English. This is one of the Ultimate English movies, and its a shame that some of the understanding and meaning may be lost overseas. Heck, I am born from the most Anti-Royalist family out there (my father would gladly smash the window of the Royal Families car given the chance) and even I feel sympathy and understanding for the Royal family in their duty which is thrust upon them from the day they were born, and how themselves are helpless and can only add moral support - and in this movie even that aspect is being lost (symbolising how the Royal family is becoming increasingly distant from society as their power fades).
In short, its an excellent English film in a world devoid of (good mainstream) English films.
The Manster
Ah, I love B-movies. Also, this has gotta be the earliest body-horror film I've ever seen. And the fact that it inspired part of Army of Darkness gains it extra cool points.

Exploding a huge factory with a bunch of people in it and throwing a guy off a tower so he can splatter all over the ground is killing. And he kindof killed the joker. I mean not directly but it is his fault. But the movie is definately awesome.
Scarface (1983)
This movie is so awesome. It was my ultimate favourite movie when I was 11 and it's still in my top ten.

Yeah, I was joking. It kinda annoys me when 'fan-boys' overlook this major counter argument to their "BATMAN NEVER KILLS!!" complaint. I know no-one on this site has said this....so I have no idea why I said it.....
.....I really need to stop watching movies, making films with LEGO, and doing unnecessary amounts of College-Work when I could be outside having a life....
Ah, jokes don't always transfer well over the internet.
Loft
Awesome flesmish movie. My favourite line was:
"Do you know the expression 'F*** YOU!!'"
Secretary
A sad but ultimately heartwarming tale of self-harm and spanking.
I HIGHLY recommend it. Just don't watch it with your old man.
Night of the Living Dead
First time I've seen the whole thing. It's pretty much the zombie movie.
Yesterday for my "Sunday evening cinema" I was checking out Jeepers Creepers (2001) horror movie and was actually surprised by it's goodness. I mean sure it wasn't a masterpiece or something but it sure was entertaining.
