Re: What was the last movie you watched?
Don't bother with the sequel. Trust me.
EDIT: Actually, to be fair, it was alright.

I reaaly enjoyed this mo...SQUIRREL!......I really enjoyed this movie. It appeals to kids or adults in that it has real adult values. It is, I think, probably the funniest Pixar movie they have ever made. Absolutley fantastic. P.S Watch this cool remix of Up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A2yt1ooLQGo
I remember Jeepers Creepers from when I was twelve. I loved them then, not sure now.
Prince of Persia
Well... it was nothing special. I suppose it was a decent video-game adaption, but considering the "So Bad It's Good" factor, I'd say Super Mario Bros. was much more entertaining. The plot was pretty weak, with the usual "protect MacGuffin from bad guys" fare, and some "family tension" thrown in for good measure. And the girl, of course. There's always a girl.
One thing that annoyed me was that the two main characters decide to kiss while the bad guy is getting closer to accomplishing his goal, but that I realized that that happens all the time in movies. Kisses would be so much more awesome if they actually waited until the end to kiss, because then it actually has some value. I dunno, I feel like most kissing in movies now is rather meaningless.
The Social Network
Hmm.. Was expecting something a bit more outa this one. Got it on redbox with my parents and was expecting something that would blow my mind. Certainly, a very good film, the framing was set for every shot sequence in it. Kudos to that. Good time watching it too, and the final shot actually made me chuckle.
Oh yeah btw, not really a family oriented movie, as when the indirect sex scene came out of nowhere my parents were this close to not letting me see the rest of the movie.
Still a very deserving movie. 4/5

And the Cocaine party was ok?
They didn't react to the cocaine party surprisingly, Im not sure, but I think they were worried more about of the sexual references and scenes in the film.

The General
I suppose I'm not quite suited to silent films as I hoped I'd be, but I still thought it was a nice film. I loved how the music filled the roles that sound took over later, like the way a cymbal would be used for a splash, or drums would be used for loud, booming noises.
The Nightmare Before Christmas
WHAT! IS! THIS!
No, seriously, this film is awesome. Done with excellent stop-motion. I watched the making-of, and its incredible how much work goes into this.

Have you seen Charlie Chaplin's stuff? The Gold Rush, City Lights, and Modern Times all rule. The Great Dictator is also freaking amazing, though that has sound.
I too watched The Social Network recently. It was a great movie, but I also felt slightly underwhelmed, as if it needed something a little extra ... not quite sure what. I might have to see it again to ultimately decide about it. My favorite part?
When Eduardo made Sean Parker flinch.

Yes! I've watched the BluRay a few times now, and that scene has been on my mind lately. So good.

I showed your post to my mum because we're going to rent it on Saturday. ![]()
Anyway, TOY STORY 3 (For like, the third time)
Outstanding. That's all I can say.

Starship Troopers
Fun B-movie, nothing special.
2012
Wow. What a complete piece of S***! I don't care about lame CGI "amazing" effects, it's just not interesting. This movie bored me with its stupidity. The speech at the end was completely unrealistic. And the little girl doesn't piss her pants anymore atfer the destruction of the world hihihihihihihihi
The Commitments
Hilarious. Love the Irish accent.
Christine
Not as good as the first view, but still a decent horror movie.
EDIT: Has anyone seen 'The Way Back'? I won free tickets. And if so, is it any good? (no spoilers please)

The Breakfast Club
Awesome awesome awesome film.
And on Jeepers Creepers, I should probably watch them again, don't think I was watching it with the right eyes.

Im disgusted with myself I havent watched a movie in awhile
Watched The Usual Suspects (again) last night. Parts of it don't stand the test of time, but the beginning and end are great.
Cloverfield
The first half was surprisingly effective. The last half drove itself off a cliff.
I forgot to mention that I watched
How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying
recently. I was almost ready to turn it off about ten minutes in, but it really turned itself around as things went on. Robert Morse did a great job of playing his character crafty, yet seemingly naive with all the earnestness you could hope for. Pick it up if you like 60s-era musicals; it's quite fun.
