although I would like to see how you lighted those sets. The lighting is spectacular.

This video shows how he built one of the sets: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nOh83nqXCW8
Guess it's not really necessary to say how good that was! Lego fits the bands sound so well. This is class. This is top of the line brickfilming right here. Congratulations!
Man I'm jealous of your awesome lighting How long did it take to make?
The sets, story and overall production value was tip-top.
I just couldn't get passed the music, so bad. 80's video games had better music.
I watched it through a 2nd time looking for the steller animation that everyone was raving about and had to turn the sound way down.
The animation wasn't anything special in my books. Overall it was good but not great.
Jane's brain was way better, it had monkey's playing trumpets on bikes, that's win right there.
The reason I find the animation amazing is just because of how clean it is. Yes, the movements could be better, but the cleanness is just great.

That...was...amazing...I can only dream of making brickfilms like THAT!

I think that's part of the reason why I don't really like the animation that much. It's so clean and almost sharp that it comes off robotic for me. The animation itself doesn't have much character, it relies quite a bit on the facial animation, which was done extremely well. But it's still good animation, I guess just not really my style.
I don't think I can add anything that's already been said. I really liked the sets and the lighting in a few of the shots. Like the light coming through the window in the bedroom scene, and also when he's riding back in the taxi. The whole thing was really well done.
Some behind the scenes type stuff:
I love the set designs. The details are Spectacular!
The music in the pre effect one sounds better.
That was.. The best brickfilm I have seen in years...
WOW.
*BUMP*
For those of you who don't know, this video recently got blogged on The Brothers Brick which now confirms it's awesomeness.
By the way, when will this be available on iTunes?
Not sure. I think the current plan is to release the album in January.
While I'm here, would it be inappropriate to point out that you can buy Coffee Hole t-shirts here? I've never had merchandise before.
That's totally appropriate, as well as totally awesome! Kudos to you, 0ldScratch!
How did he do the face animation:dizzy:
He animated the minifig with blank faces, then added the facial expressions digitally.
