Although the white expanse was successful, it would have been interesting having the background change to the theme of each object, such as the lighthouse near an ocean, and the car driving on a road.  You could just have a still picture that transitions at the same time as the object.

For the MoFilm contest, they asked me to create a second version with colors in the background which is sort of what you're talking about. But I prefer the original on white.

Oops, missed one worth commenting on.

Good animation, lack of plot, and product advertisement aside, is it really Avant-Garde?

Avant-Garde-worthy?  Well, animating outside the minifig realm is uncommon, but is that unconventional?  But if it's unconventional to you, then by the ambiguous definition of this contest: yes.

its avant-garde alright!

It's cold outside

Re: BiM 2010: Metamorphosis

This isn't an entry to AV Lech...

And could you put a yes or no in the "Avant Garde worthy" part? I have no idea on earth what you meant in some of your reviews there.

I do not care about your opinion, unless it has to do with it needing more ponies.

Is it the hyphen?  Are there two Avant Garde Contests I'm not aware of where one has a hyphen and the other doesn't?  And read the comment again.  One of those words you're looking for is there.  Of course, I don't really give a frak.

Oops, my mistake.
Because he released it so early, I thought it was for the canes film competition.

Re: BiM 2010: Metamorphosis

Good film, though while it's original to an extent, I feel like it does fit into a category of brickfilms of which there are quite a few examples (Weltraffer, etc.).

Re: BiM 2010: Metamorphosis

Definetely interesting, creative and well animated. I think you must win a prize though for most initially confusing logo i've certainly ever seen.

Re: BiM 2010: Metamorphosis

Probably what I love about this film most, is that fact that it's less than a minute long. It proves that one doesn't need a feature-length film in order to be have made an amazing film!
