Nothing stopping you from just thinking outside your own box.
Right. Despite maybe a few bits of wording that could have been clearer in some of the announcements, this isn't about coming up with some weird idea that officially has no precursors, it's about pushing people to try things that are new to them.
it fits the theme. no one has done something like this before. and I don't care about the logo thing i just put it in there for fun
---sorry for the double post---
Something no one has done before is not a good way of thinking Avant-Garde. Avant-Garde is basically pushing the norm. Like music for example, at first all we had was classical, then look at all the types of music forms we have now! Rock, romantic, pop, etc.

That's what we are trying to go for, we are not necessarily doing anything new that the community hasn't done, but we are trying something that is new to us. So people may say that it is nothing special, but the whole concept is new to us. And let it be noted that we are still using techniques from animators (not mentioning any names... Smeagol).

This really isn't the point of the contest. I've never made a Star Wars brickfilm, but I wouldn't make one for AG just because it's new to me.
Not the theme itself, but some new techniques and lighting, and sound etc... It's not like we're making a basic theme just because we haven't tried it.
So if I just make a random film which has a different sound or lighting than the other one, it's A-G? I think you are failing to understand the theme of A-G.

Sorry peeps, I will not have an entry anymore. I lost interest in the project. And I procrastinated.
I'm fairly certain I'll be able to finish my entry in time. I'm a fast animator. Sort of, anyway. ![]()

Will all the entries be posted in one thread when the contest deadline is over. I'd like to watch them all in one day, and I don't want to have to go through the releases forum searching for all the AG entries. Looking forward to seeing them.
JK, how do you now exactly that you 67% to go? Have you planned out your whole movie time and such? ![]()

You might want to look into compressing that.
