my entry is about 50% complete. the filming is almost done and I've started recording lines and stuff
If its just an extremely cliche action movie then no it wouldn't do too well.
With the trailers, I think that there will be at least 10 entries! Good for Sméagol ![]()
ok I've finished the filming of my entry and now i need to edit(a lot). i'm going on vacation until Saturday and while I'm there I'll try to get most of the editing done. when i come back if i need any scenes re done I'll do that, I'll finished the editing and voices on sunday and monday and my entry should be done a few days before the dead line.

btw there won't be any trailer

I'm working on an entry. Can it involve a song with singing? (original)
May I suggest something? The deadline is extremely close, and you can see there's a lot of us who are struggling to make it in time (including me). Is the deadline so set in stone that we can't change it?
Seeing as the contest was announced in September of last year, I would say you're past the third trimester for your baby.
I'm not just speaking for my self here, it just seems that there's only going to be around 4 or 5 entries from my count.

I know, the "you" is meant for everyone.
So do I even need to say Contest?
Just a word of warning for all you entrants, the contest is called 'BricksInMotion 2010' and the subtitle is 'Avant-Garde' - it's not technically the Avant-Garde Contest.
Also, it's spelled 'Avant-Garde', I've seen plenty of misspellings of it.
TECHNICALLY yes it is the Avant-Garde contest ![]()
A deadline extension wouldn't help me, unless it was by more than a week, as I'm going away for a week on the 24th. I may struggle to get mine finished, but I seem to work quite well under pressure. However, there are many films that i look forward to seeing, but I wouldn't want to see them rushed, and so if a deadline extension would help, then I wouldn't mind too much. I do think an extension is pretty unlikely though, given how long this contest has been running.
As for entries, I think we'll see quite a few, though maybe less than expected from the more well known brickfilmers.

No it isn't. I just said it isn't. Need evidence?
To clarify for people making banners and such - the name of the contest is 'BiM 2010," or "BiM 2010: Avant-Garde," not "Avant-Garde" on its own. That's just a subtitle or theme for the contest.
Crime Stories will be ready on time.
The trailer is out already, check it out!
I soooo, wish that I entered this, there's just so much more to it than the prizes.
