Re: BiM 2010: Avant-Garde [CLOSED]

Well Bodville, that's very encouraging!  Last year I sort of felt like I had heard about most of the STAR entries by this late in the process, so I knew what to expect and we did get a fairly large batch of entries that people had been working on for several months.  I was just expressing my general disappointment at the somewhat different reception this time so people would know that from what I understood, there isn't going to be loads of fierce competition this time; I hoped to encourage more people to make the push to finish entries on time.  It's just a bit discouraging when I mention the contest in chat and people either say they gave up because they couldn't think of an idea or they haven't even heard of it, and that's generally the sort of response I've gotten.

The rock opera concept sounds pretty well in line with the contest theme, yeah.  My project "Space Opera" was going to be a nearly full length rock opera so I know how much work would have to go into actually finishing a project like that, personally I was just overwhelmed by it at the animation/post-production stage and didn't finish mine.

I will probably enter next year; I've been working on Viva La Vida for pretty much the entire duration of this contest, hehe.

Cool! I hope you can finish him before the 20th! Hopefully there will be at least 10 entries!

Re: BiM 2010: Avant-Garde [CLOSED]

I never really considered making an entry for this until know, but it's a little too late.  I'm working on another film and to come up with an avant-garde story, animate, edit, and get needed voice actors looks impossible for the amount of time left.  I hope to keep making a few brickfilms until the next contest which I hope to enter.  The winning entries in last years STAR contest were great!  I look forward to seeing this years entries.  If the contest doesn't turn out as expected, maybe it will inspire others to get an early start on their film next year.

Re: BiM 2010: Avant-Garde [CLOSED]

Okay, I have about 30 seconds filmed for my newest and final idea. NO TURNING BACK NOW! CHARGE!!!!

I do not care about your opinion, unless it has to do with it needing more ponies.

Change of plans...I have a new idea that seems do-able within the next two weeks...I hope. I think it's Avant-Garde enough, (if that makes sense...) and I hope it turns out well. Here goes nothing! mini/bigsmile

Re: BiM 2010: Avant-Garde [CLOSED]

With my work schedule, I'm probably going to be spending every spare moment I usually spend relaxing working on my meager entry. It feels like BRAWL week.

I never plan on buying anything when I go to the Lego Store.
Strangely enough, I always wind up finding something that makes me ditch those plans.

Re: BiM 2010: Avant-Garde [CLOSED]

Yeah, we are using up any spare minutes to film our entry.

Re: BiM 2010: Avant-Garde [CLOSED]

Due to extremely poor picture quality, I will need to use different hardware. If that doesn't work out, my entry might not happen. mini/sad
And I most likely will not be able to make a trailer.

Re: BiM 2010: Avant-Garde [CLOSED]

I'm not even bothering with a trailer. My movie's short enough as is. mini/lol

Well don't waste any more time reporting about it in the forum everyday.

Sorry for the constant posts ^.  But we just wanted to know how to attach a wmv., or avi file to a pm.

None of your older posts in this thread asked anything about attaching files in a PM.

Re: BiM 2010: Avant-Garde [CLOSED]

He didn't imply that he had. Juggernaut, you can't attach files to PMs, you'll have to upload the video somewhere else and include a link to the download. If you don't want to sign up to anything - you can upload stuff easily to MediaFire, you can also create an account there to manage files and stuff.
