That's fantastic. You've nailed the right level of reflectivity for the walls. The studs in shadow look a little too shiny, though. Nonetheless, if the studs just had the LEGO sign I would have been very nearly fooled.
Okay, did a little work on it:
Better? Worse? Absoloutelysohorribleyoucantstandtolookatit? Absolutelysowonderfulthatyoucouldburnitintoyourretinas?
Very nice Bluescreener. I've recently had an interest in practicing with CGI. If I plan on making CGI LEGOs, what are the programs that I would need? So far I've downloaded blender. What else do I need to download?
All you really need is Blender, LeoCAD, and LDraw like Juggernaut Pictures said.
Okay. Thanks guys.
Bluescreener, it might just be me, but I think the studs need to have bevels.
They are beveled, but I could add more. The weird thing is, on the first version, the floor had the same material as the walls, but it looked...different. Now it has a different material, but it still looks weird. The walls I like. The floor... meh. And there's something weird with the shader on the far side of each stud.
Took a while to figure out the focal length for this Logitech Webcam Pro 9000 (zoomed out, all autos set to manual). These shots seem to work at 35mm, but there's another shot I'm still rendering where the closest I can get to a matching focal length was 44.4mm. Strange.
That looks pretty nice Lech! The second shot with the gears looks a bit odd though. The gears don't reflect the light the same way as the minifig does.
Anyone know where some good tutorials for brezier bones are? I'm trying to learn a bit more on animation now that I'm better at physics and all that jazz.
It's FINISHED!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!
Really, bluescreener, that looks really good, except i think the studs should have a little bit more rounded edges, just slightly, it looks just a tad to precise, even lego doesn't make their studs that exact. (actually, i think they add the 'softer' edges on purpose)
