Re: Your ideal brickfilming software

This software sounds like it is going to be great! When it comes out, if you would, please contact me on YouTube. http://youtube.com/user/igotlegos  The only reason for this is because I don't go on Bricks In Motion a lot. I would love to hear when this great software comes out. mini/smile mini/smile mini/smile

Re: Your ideal brickfilming software

Okay then

Re: Your ideal brickfilming software

The perfect brickfilming software should combine everything necessary to creating a brickfilm.

That being:

Storyboarding
Scripting
Sound Recording
Sound Editing
Special Effects
Video Editing
Frame Capture (with onion skinning etc)

Re: Your ideal brickfilming software

Okay then, also does anybody use a canon EOS rebex xs/1000D?

Re: Your ideal brickfilming software

Just remember that the special effects should be simple but still good looking.
Here's what special effects I think you should have:

  • Masking- if nothing else you should have this

  • simple basic filters- black and white, brighten, darken, other color filters, the stuff that comes with cheep video editing software

  • maybe a nice rain, snow effect

  • chroma key

  • light-sabers only if you have all the prioritys checked off and you can find a simple way of doing it. this applies to anything that's more advanced

I disagree with scripting, its not like you can make anything better than Microsoft word, and I would like a fast capture programme rather than something filled with all sorts of odds and ends. In order to make some good special effects you will need a lot of skill with java and i reckon it will take a long time.
Sound recording would be nice to have. Video editing and sound editing isn't really worth your time. Personally I would make a frame capture programme first then improve upon it with new versions every now and then. And with these updates will come new things like video editing and special effects. I reckon if you do this you can have something out much sooner than if you tried to make some sort of super animator. It would also be a nice learning curve for you and your programming skills will improve thus making the software better.

Re: Your ideal brickfilming software

TDogg, you seem to think that your opinion is more important than Richard's. You just blatantly shouted out how his idea was wrong and how yours is much better, thus making yourself look like a complete idiot. Why can't you stop being a hater and be happy for this community? We're getting to the point were we're cutting down on pointless thread, newer members are learning and you still can't say anything constructive! You seem to think these new members (not saying that Richard is one) are stupid, but you're actually making yourself look like an idiot, so take a chill pill and be cheerful.

I don't think we should make life so hard for William, so why can't we just make a good simple enhanced brickfilming software? That's my perspective of this whole thing.

What are you chatting about? I am talking about a good way williamgeorgegardner can go about constructing this programme, and as someone who will probably use it i think i have the right to express my opinion.

Why can't you stop being a hater and be happy for this community?

Where is the hate i honestly don't know what your on about, am i missing something?

We're getting to the point were we're cutting down on pointless thread,

If you want less pointless posts then why did you post that?

Every thing I said was constructive.

Where is this crap coming from? I mean seriously why did you post this here of all places?
