How about a built in script writer and storyboard studio?

Sounds good. Like in Celtx.
Works on PC Windows xp-7(maybe 98 too), Mac and Linux.

Re: Your ideal brickfilming software

Okay, well it is written in Java so it will be multi platform

Re: Your ideal brickfilming software

There's no point in having a build in script writer, everyone already has software for writing. Like I said before it would be good if you minimized the amount of memory it takes up. By adding a script writer you will also be making your work load harder.

Re: Your ideal brickfilming software

Maybe about a thing that makes your animation smoother, adds digitally frames.
And you can do motion blur and you can do water effects like in sqirlz water reflections   and some fire effects.

Re: Your ideal brickfilming software

You guys are asking for Adobe After Effects for goodness sake. Do you realize that you'll lose all your computer space with all this stuff? I kind of just want an enhanced MonkeyJam to be honest. Keep all the MonkeyJam features and then add more.

"Animation is about creating the illusion of life. And you can't create it if you don't have one." - Brad Bird

Re: Your ideal brickfilming software

Okay I agree^^

Re: Your ideal brickfilming software

combine the stableness of monkeyjam with the simpleness of helium frog. then add a few simple fetures to make it simpler. here's a sample layout i threw together http://o.imm.io/Dmp.png here's how I think it should work. You can either import pictures (import button on file menu) or capture with a wevcam (capture controlls) this should include an onion skinning option and maybe a chroma key option (I don't do greenscreening but i know others do). settings include webcam settings, framerate, etc. you can preview the animation with the playback controlls. to delete a frame select it in the frame manager to the right and hit delete. (you should also be able to multi-select frames with shift/ctrl) you can drag frames around, copy and paste them and duplicate them.  the edit butten should either open the frame in an external program or better yet you should include a simple masking feature. You can also import music. export should have several format and compression options. let me know what you think. \

Re: Your ideal brickfilming software

NO CAPTURE LIMITS..... SMP is annoying because of that.... Sounds good, but it should have a way to use firewire and Maaaybeee HDMI though only probably I and a few others will actually USE HDMI so that is not a must. Hmm frame averaging is a must and thats about it for me. mini/smile

Re: Your ideal brickfilming software

You should be able too import the audio into the software so you can fit the animation with the audio.
Sorry if someone has all ready sudgested this.

Re: Your ideal brickfilming software
