Re: Commercials for Lego exhibit at a local science centre

I was a big fan of your older films, but now I have gone past the stage of fanship into an existence of pure light where every living moment I am washed over by your awesome animation. That was perfect!

Oh, we were finally able to view them on another computer.   They are brilliant!  Our favorite one was the rick-shaw (sp?) driver.  Looking forward to seeing more of your work! mini/delirium

Jay Silver, a brickfilmer who pushed brickfilming to new levels and continues to do so.

Re: Commercials for Lego exhibit at a local science centre

Jay Silver! You were a member on Brickfilms before my time but I still remember coming to the old film directory several years ago to watch your work over and over again - The Gauntlet, Rapunzel, Rise of the Empire, etc. Those were some of my favorite Lego films, not only because of the animation, but because of the attention to detail. One can easily forget when watching your work that it is really just on someone's tabletop, or that it is animation for Legos for that matter. I think you have a unique ability to transcend what has become the norm today in our Lego films, no longer little plastic bricks but a versatile medium that, if used creatively, can be boundless.

I enjoyed these three immensely, especially your creative use of the minifigures' joints and attitude. You could really "feel" the weight of the cart that the rickshaw driver was pulling, and the despair of the guy flailing his arms on the plank before tumbling off. Keep up the great work!

Definitely loved the uphill shots. Impressive and just plain imaginative animation, but we all know you get paid to be awesome mini/wink

Wonderful, just wonderful. mini/smile

You can do anything, just have fun while doing it.

Jay! It's great to see you're still around and brickfilming! mini/bigsmile

Fantastic job on the shorts, they were each very enjoyable and beautifully animated. I especially loved the uphill climbing and the guy falling off the plank. Great stuff!

Wow, some really phenomenal work, Jay.

And in case you hadn't noticed, you are something of a brickfilming legend around these parts.

wow...loved all of them. They're great.

Re: Commercials for Lego exhibit at a local science centre

Those were quite fabulous. I loved the somewhat macabre humor that one can achieve by taking the nature of minifigs literally.

Re: Commercials for Lego exhibit at a local science centre

Amazing! I seriously loved that. They're clever comical cartoony things, and they're awesome.

That was fantastic work! I really enjoyed those, and they were amazingly well done in every aspect.
