Topic: Commercials for Lego exhibit at a local science centre

Although a completed project, I'm posting this here because I don't feel they really belong in the directory as finished movies.

An ad agency in my town commissioned me to do some Lego animation to support a Lego event going on at a local science centre for kids. Over the course of the project the specifications of the final product (as well as the budget) changed multiple times until eventually settling as four 30 sec. TV spots done as cheaply as possible.

As far as I know they haven't aired on TV but have appeared on the web so I feel safe sharing them with you here:

Very fun! mini/bigsmile
The simple sets definitely worked to your advantage, giving the shorts a feeling of imagination. The animation was quite nice and I smiled, if not laughed at each short. The parachute spot was probably my favorite.

Discovery Center! Man... I miss that place. I'm pretty sure that's where I first developed my addiction to spinning around in office chairs and pulling my arms in and out.

I was a pretty nerdy kid, I fear.

Took the liberty of moving it to the releases forum so people won't overlook these.

Nice work!  Fun concepts and the animation all has a great sense of weight to it, it's nicely stylized so I can't say "realism" per se but it looks great.

Haha, those were all excellent.  Your animation style is very refreshing, I don't think anybody does it quite the way you do.

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. It was nice to animate again, I'm looking forward to doing more of my own stuff this year.

BuilderBrothers: Are you able to view other H.264 encoded movies? Trailers on Apple, for example? That's what I've used. I admit I'm confused about your earlier comment about hearing music but not seeing the video as there's no music in these.

These shorts are very cute and solid! It's a different style than most LEGO movies/shorts today mini/smile !

Quicktime Player or VLC will play these shots fine.

Extreme animation and brilliant sound effects, nice camera quality too! Good work, as usual, jay!
