Re: The Animation Challenge
I feel an odd urge to make one of these.

is the contest still open for partcipants
I know i cant compete with fancypants but it would be fun to bend the laws of LEGO lke he did
It would be worth a shot
Yes, I would also like to know if this challenge does end tomorrow or not. Just wondering if you'll go with what Smeagol suggested.
Well me and Bricklord originally intended on having more animation challenges after this one was over. But that doesn't mean that people are banned from making lightsaber duels for the rest of eternity. I'd love the idea of continuously trying to one-up each other and I'd be happy to see more people take a swing at this.
What other challenges did you have in mind? I'm debating whether or not I take a crack at this or wait for the next one.
Oh i might enter
is this contest sill going
is this contest sill going
Yes.
Why not? I've done a few before, not amazing, but I got a bit of spare time so i'll give it a go!
I do believe we all have an urge to one-up fancypants now...
Who cares? Now people have to do something really original to make it different, which Filmyguy already has done (his video was finished earlier than Fancypant's one. How do I know? I just know )
Wow, that looks awesome!

I made a short motion blur test which incorporates a lightsaber duel into it last night (Inspired by the epic duels being released) so I thought I'd post it here.
Here it is With and Without blur.
@BGanimation: We will probably try to re-make sometime later, but right now we are beginning to put a lot of time into our Avant-Garde entry, so we really can't work on it now.
@Cartoonkid98: The lightsabers look pretty good, but considering the speed in which they are moving, they probably should not be blurring.
It seems to me we have forgotten the voting part of this Animation Challenge. If it is agreeable, I would like everyone to send me their votes on which of the entrants they thought was best, so I can add them up. Now, if no one wants to do that and just want to unanimously give 1st Place to Fancypants, that's fine as well.
