Topic: What would be the best Frame rate to use in one of my films?
I am running at 16 fps and I don't think that it's the best but it does look good, if any of you could tell me, what frame rate do you guys use?
Thanks

Most of us use 15fps. I've never actually heard of anybody using 16. Are you sure that's not a typo?
15 fps for me, even the CGI (to keep it the same frame rate in the whole film)
no its not a typo, I've used that frame rate ever since i've started to brickfilm
Do you use WMM? If so, that is your problem. Most people use 15 (as previously stated), but some use 24 fps.
15 frames per second is the most popular framerate in brickfilms.
Ps: first post!
Tbh 16 is better for timing.
I've been doing a couple test films, and when I play it back at 15fps, it looks slower and blocky, but when I push it up to 24 it looks pretty good, so I've settled with 24, because I haven't managed to film anything I'm happy with at 15. So once you've got a technique you like, just play it back at varying rates, and go with what ever looks best, unless you're lazy.
use 12-15 or 30 if you want a really good vid but its ok 16

15-24 I've tried 30 but it's a big pain, it takes forever, so don't use 30fps

One other thing you can consider is shooting doubles. Basically you shoot at a high frame rate (like 24FPS or 30FPS) but each frame you take is taken twice, so that you effectively have only 12 or 15 different frames in one second. Then you can switch from doubles to singles (basically from 12/15 to 24/30) for scenes that have fast action. This is how the old animation studios (like Disney) did their animations and it's how many old cartoons were drawn.

Lol, FAIL?
EDIT: NVM, HIS first post, not the first post of the thread ![]()

acually beginners should use 12 fps its recomended 15 is for more well if you want to get even better then 15 24 is for pros that help? i use 15
I personally think low frame rates can look cool if you know what you're doing, and most people associate low frame rates with many other mistakes beginners make.
