I'm sure you mean well but if you'll notice, the last post before yours in this thread was back in January. Obviously the guy's question is resolved at this point. If you could refrain from "bumping" really old threads like this when there's not much left to be contributed that'd be good. Thanks.

One other thing you can consider is shooting doubles. Basically you shoot at a high frame rate (like 24FPS or 30FPS) but each frame you take is taken twice, so that you effectively have only 12 or 15 different frames in one second. Then you can switch from doubles to singles (basically from 12/15 to 24/30) for scenes that have fast action. This is how the old animation studios (like Disney) did their animations and it's how many old cartoons were drawn.

I've been doing a couple test films, and when I play it back at 15fps, it looks slower and blocky, but when I push it up to 24 it looks pretty good, so I've settled with 24, because I haven't managed to film anything I'm happy with at 15. So once you've got a technique you like, just play it back at varying rates, and go with what ever looks best, unless you're lazy.

It depends on the things the figs should do, but I think you shold never go under 10fps.
Here is an example:

6step walk cycle: 15fps
5step wc: 12fps
4step wc: 10fps

for a normal speed walking.
I used to animate min. 12fps.

If you are able to, do as much as possible ;)
