Things have changed in Gotham City. Batman, once fighting against crime, is now officially being chased by the police, while the city is gradually taken over by underground bosses. The city is in danger of descending into pure chaos...

Started in early 2009 as a collaborative project of CYLT productions, this stand-alone trailer takes the events of Christopher Nolans Batman movie "The Dark Knight" further and shows the happenings of a possible, yet fictional sequel, using LEGO bricks and stop-motion animation.

Re: Batman - Gotham Knights

The quality was very surprising, same with the lighting. All in a good way. Jeez, I can't believe I'm the first to review this, as I was surprised by everything in it. Nice.

That was very fantastic, where's the  enthusiasm from BIM!!??

Teh Tripod has teh extra boost.

I am devoted to proving that the brickfilm art can be just as serious, emotional, and entertaining as anything in the professional film industry.

Re: Batman - Gotham Knights

It was good, but I wanted more animation. The lip movement wasn't superb and I would have preffered arm movements and such.

My old YouTube is since long ago defunct - now even removed.
Here is my new one.

Re: Batman - Gotham Knights

your walk cycle needs work and there were some flickrs, but nice dolly shots and audio. mini/smile

Re: Batman - Gotham Knights

That was just great. Are you making a real movie out of this?

Into the darkness once more. I walk into the unknown. To a far better life than I've ever known.

Re: Batman - Gotham Knights

You need to work on blending the faces into the minifig heads better.  Try switching to Multiply and see if that works.

For a trailer, it's not well paced.

Re: Batman - Gotham Knights

Had its moments, but in general relied a little too much on zooming in on still frames.

Some really cool shots, though. Nice use of color and lighting in a lot of them.

Re: Batman - Gotham Knights

Hey, you didn't use my lines! It's cool, that voice actor did way better than me, he sounded much graver and that's what suited the vid. Nice work! Not much animation, but I still liked the cinematography. That's a pretty awesome story for a sequel to The Dark Knight btw. mini/wink

Re: Batman - Gotham Knights

I enjoyed that, that was really cool, like everyone else has said, I would have liked more animation. But other then that I liked it, but you re crop and stretch every shot? Because certain shots look either too wide or too skinny.

Re: Batman - Gotham Knights

That was well done, it looked great. I would have loved to see some more animation though.

Re: Batman - Gotham Knights

Thanks a lot for your critique so far! I agree that there might have been a bit too many still frames, but sometimes that was not avoidable (e.g. the opening scene which was not desgined by me and which were basically pictures that were sent to me). At least there's a fight scene (I focused a lot on) that's not just stills. mini/wink I also agree with the mouth movement thing mentioned by Lech, I'll probably have to try optimizing my technique in this field.

Scypax: hell, no! Even this 3-minute-flick took a lot of time to make... as said in the first post, the idea first come up on New Years eve in 2009. If I had way too much freetime on my hands, then probably. But otherwise, and thats more likely, there's not going to be a full film of this.

Thanks again, and of course I'd like to read some more comments.

Re: Batman - Gotham Knights

good

What is there to say?

Re: Batman - Gotham Knights

G'day, if I had made that, i would be unbelievably proud, GREAT JOB, but mate, trailers are best to run, not walk as such, the riddler could have sounded more sinister, Nolan is working on the Dark Nights Sequel as yet, the name of it being THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, you should make a trailer for the next one after that.
Alfa Animations,
PS: Batman the Beginner- Coming soon, ok it my sound lame, you wait till you see it, mini/wink

Re: Batman - Gotham Knights

This is not a real trailer I assume. The riddler was canceled from the new movie and so was the Joker. So that mens this is made from scratch by you which shines a light on your talent for incredible stories and drama.

You can NEVER take too many pictures. http://www.youtube.com/user/officialani … sults_main

Why you are reviewing all the "old" films NOW ?! Its not that I dont like it, but now all the old films are on the top of the Releases-Forum...

There's no absolutely no problem with that, and that might actually be a chance of rewatch some movies we forgot but still like. In fact, I completely forgot about this.

Re: Batman - Gotham Knights

Yeah, your write. But now films, that are 1 day old, are almost on the bottom of the list.
