Director's Comments

Things have changed in Gotham City. Batman, once fighting against crime, is now officially being chased by the police, while the city is gradually taken over by underground bosses. The city is in danger of descending into pure chaos...

Started in early 2009 as a collaborative project of CYLT productions, this stand-alone trailer takes the events of Christopher Nolans Batman movie "The Dark Knight" further and shows the happenings of a possible, yet fictional sequel, using LEGO bricks and stop-motion animation.

Staff Review

Randy Yard:
If this was live-action footage, you'd be psyched about what Christopher Nolan and the gang were doing with the third installment of the rebooted Batman franchise. This stand-alone trailer drops just enough hints at an enticing (if villain-heavy) story without really giving anything away. The pacing is a little slow for a trailer and the music cuts awkwardly in places, but the trailer still manages to maintain interest the whole way through. Aside from a slight overuse of digital camera movements on still frames, there is some excellent cinematography and set design here, and the voice acting is solid across the board as well. It's a shame that neither JD or Christopher Nolan are making this film, because I'm sure many people would be eagerly awaiting it.
