I am thinking of doing a comedy western. Now to think of jokes that people haven't already used......
I made a comedy western for BiM 2010. It didn't work out very well. You might want to check it out to find what you SHOULDN'T do.
Anyway, I'm still trying to think of an idea that would actually be possible for me to do. My original idea was about the Mary Celeste (the ship). But I decided against it because of the WATER... O_o

I'm writing a script on the moment. It starting to get some story!
Seems like a lot of people are doing detective films.
Wow, no kidding. I counted 6 people when I went back through the thread. Now I'm debating whether I should continue with my story idea...

CannedGravy (whatever happened to him anyways?) was able to get water for his 30 minute pirate film with a greenscreen, so it shouldn't be too hard.
Anyone know of a good lego tommy gun (for a minifig to hold). I have a couple already, but none look too close to the real tommy gun of the 1920s.
How about this with the circle magazine attached? Seeing as an M1A1 practically is a tommy gun.
Considering it's LEGO, people will probably get the idea.

Dude, you and I are going to have a competiton for the best gang movie!
But of those three above, which looks the best for a 1920s gang? And I also need a Browning. I'll look for it at Brickarms now...
EDIT: The third Option is actually a grenade launcher- so that's out of the option.

Dude, anything's possible if you put ur mind into it. Who knows? You might create the most realistic water a BiMer could create

You could film in a bucket of water with a baseplate strapped to the bottom and your ship sticking out of the top. Just make sure to put your lights away from the water, and if you knock the water wait a few seconds for the ripples to subside. It's possible

Go for the M1A1!!!
A Tommy gun is a nickname for a Thompson Machine gun, a variant of which is called an M1A1, check it out in wiki!!! =P
Sorry guys, couldn't resist.
Hmm... it says not available in our country (USA).
Anyway, Brickyman, I see what you mean on the technical side, but I'm gonna stick with either the LEGO Tommy Gun or the BrickArms PPSh gun, because they look the best and match the pics and videos of the 1920s weapons. I'm also going to use the BAR, Browning Automatic Rifle, because that's what Bonnie and Clyde used, one of the famous gangster groups.

I would recommend clay. It keeps its shape better.
So, I'm doing mine on Paul Revere and the British. I don't know how to make a minifigure that looks like him. Does anyone have any ideas of how I'll make a minifigure of him?
I should've mentioned I don't have a hat like that, or a horse.
How about I use one of those Prince of Persia torsos that are like a vest. I came in a couple of the Prince of Persia sets. And plain old, brown pants. And one of those Indiana Jones german soldier heads, with black hair. And to top it off, why not throw in a shoulder bag? I might include a picture of that, and you can tell me what you think.
