Topic: Merlin's Robot

Hey i just joined BIM. I have been a lego animator for a while but my films have just been terrible. but all of the suddenly i learned how to edit in 20fps so my animation is getting better.
so anyways, I am starting a sci-fi/comedy-epic-absurdist-medieval-adventure-type film called Merlin's robot. the animation is okay but so yeah here are the two trailers i made
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vzRQIXgiBI
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x62qLQ6YvKk
and here is an animation test that i did in 20 fps!  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8L_MiNIDyYY

So yeah if you have any suggestions for my animation please reply and thank you! yeah i'm kinda taalking too much so i'll shut up now...

Re: Merlin's Robot

Effects seem okay, however the animation doesn't seem like 20fps, more like 10. It doesn't matter how fast you show the pictures as long as the animation itself can match the frame rate.

Re: Merlin's Robot

well it might be 15 i am not exactly sure. I didnt use a stopmotion software, i used imovie HD 6 so i don't really know the exact frame rate.
for wich one are you referring to as 10fps? the second trailer i messed up on the exporting mini/sad and it exported as a lower frame rate... but hopefully the final film will be better

Re: Merlin's Robot

Use MonkeyJam for the final film.
