Topic: Ways to Anchor a Camera

Lately, I have been trying to find a better way of anchoring a camera. I have already tried a tripod and sticky tack. I find that sticky tack works best. Yet, I still get shaky cam! Any other suggestions?

Re: Ways to Anchor a Camera

You've tried a tripod but to no avail?? Wow. Anyway... how about... does your cam have a Remote Control? (what cam is it?)
Or maybe use remote capture program like Monkeyjam?

Have you ever thought of making a LEGO cradle for it? What camera are you using?

^Haha, whoops.

Sean has a really helpful tutorial for making a LEGO cradle for Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000's. I can't seem to find it at the moment, though.

Mines thinner. It's a Casio Exilim and its thicker than a quickcam. It's a digital camera. Any ideas?

Re: Ways to Anchor a Camera

Are you capturing your images through a capture program on your computer?
Or are you actually pressing the button on your camera each time to capture your frames?
(The basic question that everyone forgets to ask in these threads)

Re: Ways to Anchor a Camera

I found a picture of his camera by googling the name of it. Hooray for google!

I say the best way to go is to build a LEGO cradle for it.

Re: Ways to Anchor a Camera

Yeah, just build a LEGO box for it. That's what LOTL did in his THACumentary.

Re: Ways to Anchor a Camera

Ok. Yeah I press the button on the top. But I just found a webcam with a cord so I should be ok. Also, I'm saving up to buy a Quickcam model. Thanks. So, what kind of Quickcam would you guys recommend.

The 9000 is the best.  All the pros use it.  Like bodville.  And me! mini/tongue

I use it, NXTManiac, KG (occasionally), and a few others do too.

Re: Ways to Anchor a Camera

Yeah, I got mine from Dell computers for about $90 but you can get it off eBay for as low as $60 or $70.

Re: Ways to Anchor a Camera

You mean a Quickcam 9000? Another question: Is it easy to anchor? Also a picture is worth a thousand words! mini/wink *wink* *wink*

Re: Ways to Anchor a Camera

Sorry couldn't be bothered taking a pic. But yes, anchoring a QP9K is pretty easy.
