Re: The Movie Poster Thread [Large Images]

Beside what was mentioned, I would suggest spending more time to erase the background around the figure. Also, the green words are relatively hard to see against the background. And I'm not sure I really like the "Go-Film" logo; it looks a little out of place.

Ok, I followed your advice, and made this new poster.

Re: The Movie Poster Thread [Large Images]

Well, it's not a movie poster, but it is the DVD cover to my first episode:

Looks pretty good, Pritchard. I have a question though: how did you make the Blimp?

Re: The Movie Poster Thread [Large Images]

Since I didn't have the right physical parts, I modeled it in LDD and rendered it using POV-ray.
I think it looks pretty good, but apparently you could tell it was CGI.

I can't really explain how I built it, but am willing to share the .lxf file if you want it. mini/wink

Not bad....but I think you forgot to add an "S" after present

no more brickfilming *sad face*.

Re: The Movie Poster Thread [Large Images]

The circle/oval around the letters looks kind of sloppy. But I like the simple design.

Re: The Movie Poster Thread [Large Images]

A concept-poster for a current film I'm working on.

After six months and three drafts, I've finally finished the screenplay, so it's nice to work on some different aspects of the film now. I might actually make a larger poster with the characters and some stills from the film once I begin production, although it's not a 30-minute epic, so we'll see. mini/tongue

Well, this isn't for an upcoming brickfilm, because it is already out. But I just joined the forums recently, so I would like to share this poster anyways:

Re: The Movie Poster Thread [Large Images]

Does your film take place in Cambodia? Because I'm pretty sure that's the Bayon temple at Angkor in the bottom of the picture.

Actually it takes place on a fictional uncharted island off the coast of Costa Rica.
My friend who made the poster must have felt the image best represented what
I wrote in the script.

Re: The Movie Poster Thread [Large Images]

That looks like Star Rebel Wars Force, not whatever you intended it to be. It's good, for use as an opening title, that is, and not much else.
