Doesn't asking to be banned for two years count as something to ban him for? Not that he has a particularly firm grasp on the whole concept in the first place. I don't think banning him is going to make much difference anyway, as it never stopped him coming back to BF.

This is all off topic though - it looks like Tom is the only one who's actually bothered about the locking of useless threads. There's already a precedent for people creating breakaway brickfilming forums, so there's nothing stopping him from creating his own utopian paradise somewhere else. I suggest registering "ilovebricksinmotioning.com", Tom.

I agree with the threads that have been locked so far. I don't think NightOwl has been over the top.
I also agree that we would be better off with Aled gone.  He has caused trouble for us by hacking BF, because he is a member here and his actions reflect badly on us and could have caused us problems on this site.
He also phished the password of one of the members here (I forget who) and impersonated them on our IRC channel. So he has caused problems for this site as well. He just stirs up trouble and is disruptive. He asked to be banned and did all this 'I'm so sorry' bit, but was back within in 2 weeks with a new account. Using IP Masking programs so he can't be banned by either username or IP, he'll just keep coming back and back.
He's been snooping around on the net trying to find out about me, and wanted me to add him as a friend on my Facebook page - like that was going to happen !!!
Basically he is a pain in the backside and until such time as he will actually be constructive and contribute to this community instead of sowing the seeds of discontent etc all the time, we'd be better off without him.
But how you will ban him I do not know, because he uses the IP masking software, which gives him a new ID whenever he wants.

You announced your intentions and were asked in a nice way not to do it. But you did what you wanted to anyway.
I suggested in the other thread to take a break and reflect on what happened. But you refused to do so.
In all fairness Aled, I'm only trying to help you. And from my viewpoint, it's a rather frustrating one.

It was getting spammed up. The topic had run its course.

Sure Aled has done some bad things but there is so much drama surrounding him. He's been taken out of proportion. He really is a nice guy and I do mean that most sincerely.

I feel very happy with Aled staying here. He has done nothing wrong here yet. Just let him be a positive part of our community...
