New Camera Test

Baseball - I bought a Canon Powershot A85 for only £30 off ebay because it has remote capture capabilities so can control it from the computer and because it is a picutre camera, the colours are better and I can do brickfilms in HD. However, at 1080p it takes about 5 seconds to capture a frame, the onion skinning is rubbish, the file sizes are huge (what do you expect) and its very slow when editing premiere. To help fix this, I converted the raw footage into a QuickTime format under with the codec h.264 which made it smoother to edit. This has made me consider in buying a whole new computer specialized for film making. The black guy's voice was by me mini/lol I recorded my impression of an american and lowered the pitch to make it sound like a black american - i was really pleased with that. This little test has made me realize how time consuming HD is compared to normal definition in all aspects. Its a lot harder and I need to practice with it - expect more tests...

I know, with HD its a lot harder. The new method takes a lot more time and skill - it should make me a better animator (I hope)
