Hmm, it was ok. You're right about the masking, it isn't the best, and in my opinion you should try to move the figure so it dosen't look like he glides along the wall. 
A good try anyway.

youtube didnt mess up the vid, you exported/uploaded wrong.
other then whats been pointed out, its actually pretty good. take your time.
