It looked a bit odd with half the picture covered by one rain effect and the other covered by a different one. I think it would be better to just use one effect.
I think that too. After I watched this, I thought it looked wierd with half of the rain coming down at an angle, and half coming down vertically. ![]()

Nice rain fx, but like Hazzat says, use only one rain effect.
Also, try to make it a bit more realistic by giving it more depth, you can do this is several ways, like adding digitally waterdrops on the baseplate, or make it really wet with a waterspray and spray each frame on your set (warning: Water).
