Let's try not to be too mean to Staned Block, I mean he is just a kid. I am, however getting annoyed that after giving him so many chances he would do something like this again.

They aren't funny and I don't watch them. But I don't hate them.
They're quite good filmmakers, but their humour doesn't make me laugh.
I find them Hit and Miss. I laugh at the things that they probally didnt want to be funny, but remain stoic when they say lame jokes that are intended to be funny.

I think their acting and delivery of their lines are both absolutely atrocious, and I'm completely shocked by how they can be successful.
My brother is in the same boat with you, Dave. He absolutely loathes Smosh with a passion. Plus, if you're shocked at how they can be so successful, I have only to point you to Fred.
I liked Smosh for a while, and can respect some of the technical qualities that go into their videos (they at least look like they know what they're doing), but their blend of humor is definitely something you eventually grow out of. Plus, the entertainment value of their last dozen or so films have been on a steady decline. It feels like they've lost touch with what seemed to work in their old videos and are trying way too hard to be funny. The end result is just lame and over-the-top.

Agreed. A small few of their videos are painfully unfunny, but most are just EPIC.

At the moment, I think the biggest YouTube jerk is Google.
Filip is right, the updates mean all of us will be gone as YouTube has changed from favour to "Funny Cats 8" to "Hulu.com, Simpsons Episode 2 season 5..." MEANING that we shall go and be replased by MTV or bidTV trying to sell us stuff. That update is a threat to all of YouTube...
Ah, so you're saying it's a threat to the moviemakers, rather than the websites?
So BIM isnt doomed, but we are.
I doubt I will be affected hugely but most partners will.

Well, if worst comes to worst, people will just pack their bags and move to Vimeo. That will only be a small minority, mind.
I'm not going to comment on the appearance of Blunty in the YouTube Jerk thread. However, can we move discussion of the terrible awful new thing over to the other Youtube thread and keep this one for discussion of jerks who steal stuff, please?
