Topic: Animating Football/Soccer

I was wondering, how do I animate someone playing football? Or as you americans like to call it  - soccer.

Has anyone done it before? Has anyone got any tips?

Re: Animating Football/Soccer

just watch some football games, and try to copy the exact movements.

Re: Animating Football/Soccer

Or you could watch a brickfilm with football in it.

I would advise CGI'ng the ball.

Re: Animating Football/Soccer

CGIing the ball...hmmm. I'll think I'll try that but it will take a very long time. Too long I think. I think I'll try what Chuppa said.

Thanks for the advice

I have proper LEGO official footballs. I got them in a mix and match box of Lego from Lego Denmark.

People have masked much, much worse, so doing the ball in CGI wouldn't really be worth the effort.

Re: Animating Football/Soccer

CGI would be a lot of work. I thing it would easier and look better to buy a Lego football and use that instead of CGI.

Re: Animating Football/Soccer

I made a Lego Fifa 2 years ago, with a real ball and sometimes a CGI ball (remember, I didn't had AE or even FXHome so it was a pain in the ass to make it look a BIT believable).

Yep, we're like that... "America: being different since 1776" mini/wink

i'd throw my lot in with the mask-er's (i doubt thats even a word) its a lot simpler than CGI-ing it.
... unless your going for something big like remaking a FIFA World Cup in lego or something
