Really? Why didn't he mask it out then?
I'm guessing he was being honest.
It does say that masking is allowed. It would be perfectly honest to mask it.

The rules are clear, you can do masking if you want.
I am getting a break, when the deadline is reached I will announce the winner, then Michael will be in charge
