Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

I like the fountain.

@Noobster How did you manage to animate in that small lift/corridor part (might be that my hands are just big)?

Yesterday, I animated a man running through a 4 stud wide hallway.
It was just no.

@Noobster Looking good! I really love the lighting in the shot, as well as the reflection. It does seem like the camera is tilted ever so slightly. How did you manage to animate in that small lift/corridor part (might be that my hands are just big)?

Yeah, I noticed it might be a little bit tilted or is it the sofa on the right that make it look so? I don't know. It's already animated so.. mini/tongue

And we just animated the doors closing so it was not that hard.

@ghostofmrsdaystudios The lighting and framing is pretty cool here. My only remark is that you can see a red light (from your camera possibly). The rest all looks fine and dandy!

It's suppose to be like that. mini/smile

@Binding Brick
Interesting. I like the black and white but the room seems a little plain, though that may something to do with the film.
Overall I quite like it mini/smile

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Clever Idea Isaac! The frame itself has a nice glow effect to it, maybe is the frame meant to be a dream?:)

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Great idea, Isaac! Can't wait to see this one!

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Congratulations on finding a new advantage to webcams over DSLR's; easily shooting upside down! mini/bigsmile I can't say that that's something that comes up a whole lot, but it's a great idea, and I'm sure loads easier than trying to suspend the minifig from the ceiling. I really like the composition of the frame as well. mini/smile

Isaac, you are so much more amazing.

Ooh, interesting, I wonder how this will playout. I do notice some eyebrows too.

@Slurping Animations
Nice guess! I won't say whether it is right or wrong because then it would a spoiler though.
Thanks for the feedback everyone! mini/bigsmile

@GHB Productions
I like the simplicity of your frame. Unlike mine, your frame gives away nothing so I quite like that mini/smile

Way cool, animation Issac

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

@Isaac Looks sweet mate! I like the concept of the whole upside down house. My only gripe is that the outside sky is very dark, so it looks like it's evening (Maybe that's intended?). Furthermore, the picture is a tad bit blurry, but it's still a very cool shot!

@GHB Gee, that's a lot of white! It's looks a bit over exposed. The eyelids also looks sorta fake. Try working on that and the shot's pretty much okay!

If you ever read this, that frame is a part of a shot where he's opening his eyes. In the actual clip, you don't notice the fake part of the eyelids. It's just a swoop.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Did you try taking a plate shot (i.e. swap it temporarily with a blank minifig head)?  That way, you have a blank head to mask with.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

The second picture is a frame, this first one shows something I did to make it easier to animate a diagonal run.

https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc6/184515_544508742239139_1325615802_n.jpg

It's actually pretty easy to make a minifigure run diagonally, but this would be extremely useful for walking.
Downside is it takes a while to set up and you must hide the floor.

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Interesting Squid! The technique you use is nice! Must try this technique someday!

Re: Frame from Your Upcoming Film

Yah, that's really really clever, I'll have to keep it in mind. I like the frame too, it looks very actiony. mini/smile
