Topic: Multi-Test

this test is actually several rolled into one:
flying test
realistic landing test (watch the minifig) mini/wink
preliminary fake shadow test
lighting test

what do you think?

The animation was kind of choppy a little.
In which program you did it the shadows?
It was pretty good I would say.
All together it worked but maybe it was low fps.

I used after effects CS4 for the shadows, compositing, and masking, framerate was 15 fps

Not bad, I do agree like Legoluke that it was a little choppy. Those shadows were really good! I would make flying scenes if I was good at shadows.

all it takes is a black ellipse at 45% Transparency in darken blend mode and blurred with gaussian blur. then you key it to match the motion of your shadow-casting object. mini/dizzy  whew!

at least, that's what i did here... there's probably a better way somewhere out there. mini/confused
