Re: *The Official Minifigure Critique Thread*
In that case, so something with blue gloves, because blue medical gloves look a little cool.
Two by two, hands of blue.
You just made my day.

Ha, ha, I had put the hands of blue two by two on my Facetube post with the minifigs, but guess I didn't over here. Well I ended up sorting the legs out after I get the set lighting figured out, turns out the dark grey just blended into stuff and the decaled white legs looked way to busy on set, the mock set was just to plainly lit and dressed I guess, this was my final choice:
Thanks for the help everyone.
Yeah, the character looks much better now SlothPaladin!
I realized I hadn't made any fantasy characters in ages, plus I felt like contributing something to the good ol' BFCU, so here's probably one of the weirdest bunch of adventurers you'll ever meet, who come from the realm of Mr Vertigo:
From left to right:
-Mr Vertigo, who needs no introduction. (at least, I hope so... )
-Liz, a pyrokinetic practitioner of magic.
-Horatio Slate, esq., a skeletal detective.
-Ianto. Again, I posted him before, but he's a young wizard adventurer who wields the Fish-Blade, a legendary sword.
-Mr Pumpkin, a sentient pumpkin of mysterious origins. He never speaks, but is an excellent tracker.
-[Haven't thought of a good name--any suggestions?], who is an adventurer and former thief with a mechanical left hand. Nobody knows how she lost it. She dislikes using magic, preferring to use her sword skills and general tricks to gain an edge over her opponents.
Sir Real, a crazy knight who occasionally joins the aforementioned group of adventurers. He's rather insane, often wandering about seemingly aimlessly and babbling to himself in a language nobody understands. He wields a massive club with devastating efficiency, despite its large size and weight. Nobody knows where he comes from, but his armour is from the Lost Kingdom of Ankaria, which disappeared over 700 years ago...
I wan't to see an adventure with Ianto and Hook-Her are partnered against their will for a common goal. That would make me happy.
Quick question: which hat pieces would be good for an old university professor? I'm working on a character for my blog serial thing and he needs a hat, but I can't figure out what. Any and all suggestions are welcome.
Jampot how bout this one?
The black Beret hat its called.
Or the Lego Bowler hat.
Sincerely,
Divine.
Hmm, I like the second one, but I only have the Riddler's version unfortunately. Good suggestions, though.
Any other ideas mate?
The second one is available from the series 8 minifigure the banker
I do have one more that I thought may suit a professor.
I also did manage to get the codes for the hat above (2nd one) Incase you wanted to look at bricklink and see if someone has it cheap. (95674)
Minifigure Tam Hat (Code for bricklink: 10108)
Hope it helps, I'll have a look again tomorrow, if anything comes up I'll let you know.
Sincerely,
Divine.
If you're concerned about the Riddler's question mark, you can always turn it around so it never appears on camera.
You could use Indy's fedora, particularly if going for a Prof. Bruttenholm-esque look.
Of course, there's always the graduation cap, though unless it's meant to be a comedy I wouldn't go for it, seeing as it's a bit of a cliche and nobody actually wears these outside of graduation ceremonies.
Thanks for the suggestions, guys. The Riddler's hat is probably my best option - since this is for my blog serial rather than a brickfilm, I don't need to work about accidentally leaving the ? in full view (thanks Jargon).
The character is Dr Milton Fine, from Countdown to Justice.
He's Brainiac in a human body, kind of based on how he was handled in Smallville, where he was played by James Marsters. He crops up a lot in Volume II, which I'm currently writing, and will be central to the third and final volume.
The minifig I used in Vol I looks like this, but I can't get over how weird the dark grey eyebrows look with the jetblack hair. My only problem is I don't have any dark grey hair. He has an explorer outfit too, but the hair isn't a problem there as I just gave him Dr Kilroy's hat.
Sorry for just taking the pictures on my iphone, but I don't have much time before my next lecture.
Yeah, I do, but he's a bit too smiley. I like the sinister edge that the Magneto face has.
Does anyone have some favorite torsos for steampunk figs?
Yep, a few of these are pretty amazing.
Some are better than others, but it may help with ideas.

Here are a few albums of some custom minifigs I have done.
