Two weeks? That's longer than you think, a week is always sufficient. To make it longer is to outstay your welcome.
Maybe I'm biased because I don't like this theme. But what the winner says goes and I must oblige.
Well, with ToY coming up, people aren't going to have as much time to do an animation challenge. Plus, as I recently discovered making my last video, gun battles can take a bit of time, especially with all the special effects.
Another thing being American people usually having their weekends busy due to Independence Day.
So I still think it's somewhat reasonable. ![]()
Unless you guys all think it should be one week.
I won't be able to add muzzle flashes. Is that alright?
Ehrfg. I got something I animated with guns.
Jus think, Epic Meal Time in Lego.
(Even tough it has nothing to do with food in the video, I got off track but I did some awesome animation so Im just gonna put it up later.)

Yeah, but it's a pretty bland theme. The great thing about the Animation Challenge is that it inspires people to animate new things, and the 'lego gunfight' is an old, boring and well-trodden genre. That's why I don't like this theme.
You think it's not too late to change it?
How about slow motion?
Yeah, I think you should change it. Gunfights are way to overdone in brickfilms.
How about a fist fight? Those are hard to get to look right. The illusion of transferring forces is hard to do.
No, do that one next time because then I will be back from vacation. ![]()
I guess you are right about guns being pretty unimaginative. ![]()
I think I will change it.
New challenge:
Slow Motion! ![]()
Basically, animate really slowly and make your movements as slight as possible, and just make it look like something's going really slow.![]()
DEADLINE: Sunday, July 10th, at 4 PM GMT.

Has "jumping" been a theme yet?
Has "jumping" been a theme yet?
No, but I already changed the theme to slow motion. ![]()
Slow motion is pretty rare in brickfilms, also, very hard to do (Trust me, I've done it twice), I made the deadline a week from tomorrow if that's okay.
I'm really very sorry for all the confusion, guys.
Please forgive me.
Noooo, I wanted to do slow motion. That's okay, I hope some good entries come out of it.
...and I've just lost motivation.
I'll check the thread again on the 10th.
I made some kind of slow motion in my old video...
Do you want something like kick at 4:23 in this video

Oh, sorry...
btw doesn't matter, I've found a great video, It should help a bit
Something like that would work. ![]()
Just anything going really slow would work.
I hope some people enter.
Once again, sorry for the confusion. ![]()
First of all congratulations on winning, ANP! Nice animation!
Second, glad you changed the theme to slowmotion. Gunfight would have been a definite No-No for me. SlowMo, i just might enter...
Third, glad you turned it back to 1 week. Recently there was some complaining about the challenge dragging on too long.
Let's see what entries turn up for this one...
Happy animating!
