For a while, I was afraid no one would make any entries at all. xD
I hope you make one, Boardron. ![]()

"My work here is done"
I wonder how I will fit that quote in my entry.
I was going to in my Guns entry.
Yeah, I'm gonna enter the next one. I dont really like this one sadly.

Great Challenge ANP, I'm going to try hard to enter (we have in-laws staying with us so not sure of what my time frame will look like for the week).

You think? My guess is that for 5 seconds of slow motion film @15 frames per second, I will need at least 75 frames...
Yeah, slow mo takes some time. xD
I find it best for slow motion to animate things that are usually really fast (bullets, cannonballs, ninjas, falling, and the rest), as it somewhat better displays extremely quick things as so you can see it at a speed where you can actually understand what just happened. It's also a good way to show how close a character is to dying when you see them get out of a though quick situation in slow mo.
Problem with it is you need to be extremely consistent, as tiny mistakes are much more noticeable with slow movements.
When I've done slow motion for flying objects, I build some weird thing which I can modify very easily to be slightly longer consistently by adding one stud to a long pole with the fast object in every frame. After masking the pole, the object moves forward pretty smoothly. ![]()
I would love to enter this one, but I'm making an entry for the Lego crime contest.
So I guess it's slowmotion without post production? I have a few ideas...
Though, if you wanted to, and did it nicely, you might be able to use post production to make a slow motion effect. Like having a cropping of an object moving across the screen at a very slow speed. That, however, probably wouldn't be as nice as animating it in shot, but it could be much easier to do if you were in a hurry...
Doing this for sure!!!
I've got to try it. ![]()
What? I would get permission from Fancypants before making an illegitemate sequel.
(Hopefully) He's talking about the video game, The Force Unleashed 2.
