Two weeks? That's longer than you think, a week is always sufficient. To make it longer is to outstay your welcome.

Maybe I'm biased because I don't like this theme. But what the winner says goes and I must oblige.

Well, with ToY coming up, people aren't going to have as much time to do an animation challenge. Plus, as I recently discovered making my last video, gun battles can take a bit of time, especially with all the special effects.
Another thing being American people usually having their weekends busy due to Independence Day.

So I still think it's somewhat reasonable. mini/smile
Unless you guys all think it should be one week.

Re: The Animation Challenge

I won't be able to add muzzle flashes. Is that alright?

Re: The Animation Challenge

Ehrfg. I got something I animated with guns.

Jus think, Epic Meal Time in Lego.

(Even tough it has nothing to do with food in the video, I got off track but I did some awesome animation so Im just gonna put it up later.)

Yeah, but it's a pretty bland theme. The great thing about the Animation Challenge is that it inspires people to animate new things, and the 'lego gunfight' is an old, boring and well-trodden genre. That's why I don't like this theme.

Re: The Animation Challenge

You think it's not too late to change it?
How about slow motion?

Re: The Animation Challenge

Yeah, I think you should change it. Gunfights are way to overdone in brickfilms.
How about a fist fight? Those are hard to get to look right. The illusion of transferring forces is hard to do.

Not literally dead, just no longer interested in Lego or animation.

Re: The Animation Challenge

No, do that one next time because then I will be back from vacation. mini/tongue

Re: The Animation Challenge

I guess you are right about guns being pretty unimaginative. mini/tongue
I think I will change it.

New challenge:

Slow Motion! mini/bigsmile
Basically, animate really slowly and make your movements as slight as possible, and just make it look like something's going really slow.

Has "jumping" been a theme yet?

No, but I already changed the theme to slow motion. mini/tongue

Slow motion is pretty rare in brickfilms, also, very hard to do (Trust me, I've done it twice), I made the deadline a week from tomorrow if that's okay.

I'm really very sorry for all the confusion, guys. mini/tongue Please forgive me.

Re: The Animation Challenge

Noooo, I wanted to do slow motion.  That's okay, I hope some good entries come out of it.

Re: The Animation Challenge

...and I've just lost motivation.
I'll check the thread again on the 10th.

May 2013 update:
Back after taking a VERY FREAKING long break. 14 months, I believe. Anyways I'm going to be making films again. Much better ones.

Re: The Animation Challenge

Meh, I'm going to skip this then... I think whoever wins this challenge should pick Fist fighting. Good luck to everyone!

Re: The Animation Challenge

I made some kind of slow motion in my old video...

Re: The Animation Challenge

Something like that would work. mini/smile
Just anything going really slow would work.
I hope some people enter.

Once again, sorry for the confusion. mini/sad

Re: The Animation Challenge

First of all congratulations on winning, ANP! Nice animation!

Second, glad you changed the theme to slowmotion. Gunfight would have been a definite No-No for me. SlowMo, i just might enter...

Third, glad you turned it back to 1 week. Recently there was some complaining about the challenge dragging on too long.

Let's see what entries turn up for this one...

Happy animating!

Re: The Animation Challenge

Awesome theme I think I will make an entry. I like much more Slowmotion than a gun fight.
